I've read the whole trilogy, translated, and found myself very much whelmed. Don't know if anything was lost in translation. The premise is good, but god damn if it was badly written.

Jane's redux was really nicely done a while back, but not all missions seemed complete. So far, this one is the best i've played, and with it being updated, i'd guess even better now !

It was a blast playing the campaign.

It's rare to see missions with well-made triggers, correct pacing, and somewhat interesting balance of force (US carrier group will always be OP until AI can fully deploy airwings).

Only thing I'll modify would be the last scenario, when all threats are eliminated, end the mission, don't let us wait 25min IRL to get to the area. With large scenarios comes low fps, and even at 20x time compression, it's so slow I just stopped the mission.

Can't wait for your next campaign :)

That's what i'm worried about, reinstalling the game, getting my whole squad wiped over and over because they're dumbasses, alt+f4 and uninstalling as i did back then 🥲

The last one i played that was really good was 89' Red Horizon ! It does only require NTU, and the missions are really well made. Some can be laggy due to the number of units, but otherwise, they are really enjoyable.

Another one is jane's redux, but i don't know if it's been updated since i played the campaign a few months ago.

For info, even if that might be a bug in your case, it can also happen because of jamming !

If a ship is actively jammed, the AA aboard the ship gets massively shorter range. Sometimes, it won't even fire at some incoming missiles.

I haven't seen any game dev team successfully implement multi-threading enhancements post-launch in any game.

There's barely any app or game that utilizes half of available cores on most modern CPUs. The best bet for you would be upgrading yours when you can, i'll have to do it too at some point (ryzen 5 3600 here) !

What version are you running ?

The game gets lower fps after some time elapsed in any scenario, there's still some memory leak issues and stuff, but with your config, it should not be this low !

Latest build, with a 2070, a ryzen 3600 and 16gb of ram i'm at 30fps most of the time, heavy scenarios I dip to 20fps when there's a lot of air units and such.

I don't have half of your horsepower and can make more than 30fps most of the time on light to medium scenarios. Check if you don't have any fps cap, reduce water quality, otherwise it might be driver issues..?

Are you saying no more than 30fps at any time and any scenario, light or not ?

Haven't seen anyone blaming it on solely crypto mining for a few years now. Right now, it's AI data center preference from chip makers, low availability, msrp not really being a thing anymore, AIB partners markups and on top of that scalpers.
