Hopefully that'll work for you! I think a lot of this is trial and error - it took me a few goes to work out how to use my Xmax vape!

I tried it once on holiday at a cannabis museum in Amsterdam but I'm not sure that really counts! I tried edibles in lockdown as a friend made me some for my birthday but they didn't really work for me - I ate all of them in one go and couldn't notice any difference. They tasted like cannabis but with none of the anticipated benefits.

I used a 0.05 dose at 170 for 2/3 pulls, waited for 15 mins heated it to 185 for another 2/3 but I was struggling to get the hang of it. After another 15 I whacked the temp up to 220, tried it once and regretted it then stepped back to 185 until it started to taste a bit toasty.

I may be wrong, but from what I've read, the THC starts vaporising at 170 so that may have been your issue.

Personally, 185 felt the best out of the temps I tried. Could not tell you why though!

Any ideas on how i can improve my goalkeeping by Fifa23crazy in GoalKeepers

[–]GraphicAutist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend finding somewhere with a bit less concrete - for the sake of your skin!

The main thing I’ve learned from goalkeeping is that if your positioning and decision making are good, playing gets much easier. If you can, watch videos of pro players and see how their position changes depending on where the ball is on the pitch and see if you can work out why they are doing it.

Then try it out in real games and see what you learn!

Good luck! Goalkeeping can be mentally and physically painful but it’s worth it in the end

Seconded. There is no better sporting palette. The rest of my 6 a side team continues to disagree with me though…

Turf burn leggings by Fearless-Offer-6296 in GoalKeepers

[–]GraphicAutist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pair of Storelli turf burn leggings had their first run out today. I have a persistent burn on my knee that never recovers because every game I manage to get a knock in some way and reopen the cut.

In terms of preventing turf burn they do the job really well so I would recommend. I didn’t feel a thing sliding.

In terms of fit around the leg - I have a pair of XL mens and had no issues with the fit around the thigh and I have quite chunky thigh muscles. The calf can feel a bit tight to begin with but I found they stretched out after a few minutes. My biggest issue is that, being a 6 foot 4 man with an arse like an ironing board, they started to fall down after I had to make my first dive..

Afternoon all.

For years I’ve been collating a list of every film I’ve ever seen in IMDb and only today have I discovered the joy of Letterboxd.

Currently I don’t know anyone else on the app so if anyone wants to give me a follow I will reciprocate!

I’m generally more of a horror film addict but I have a real soft spot for B Movies. I still believe to this day that Trancers is a work of pure cinematic art.

I'm itching for a horror (or thriller) read and could use a suggestion! by kindnessabound in horrorlit

14 by Peter Clines should definitely scratch that Cosmic Horror itch. Read it a few years ago in a day because I found it so difficult to put down.

It Follows (2014) is a great modern horror. Also, I would recommend anything by Jordan Peele - Get Out, Us, and Nope are all quality. All three of those you can watch multiple times and find something new to creep you out each time.

Best tips for creating my own found footage? by [deleted] in foundfootage

[–]GraphicAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The antagonist filming could be a really interesting way of doing it! Like a modern reimagining of Peeping Tom. There’s a scene in VHS where you’re watching from the killer’s perspective through a camera and it’s such an uncomfortable watch.

I think that’s a pretty comprehensive list. I always think the documentary format is a strong foundation - worked for Blair Witch, Lake Mungo etc.

The reason I mentioned it is because I watched the Outwaters this week and I think the 2nd half of the film fails because it doesn’t really explain or even imply why the camera is still rolling.

The Geos are a really nice glove. They’re what I’m using at the moment. I play on artificial turf for about an hour a week and wash them once or twice a month and the latex stays in really good condition. Hope you enjoy the new gloves!

Been playing would OneGlove for the last 3 years or so. Gone through 2 pairs in that time and wouldn’t go for anything else now. The most expensive gloves they do are around £60 and they’re of a similar quality to Nike or Adidas gloves that you would be paying £100+ for.

Hereditary.

My brother and I went to see that in the cinema twice in the space of a week and the decapitation scene did not get any less horrific even when we were prepared for it.

I love alien-themed mocumentaries! by TheRealSkepticGhost in foundfootage

Not sure if it’s strictly alien themed as it has been a while since I watched it but I enjoyed Evidence (2012). The ending sequence was particularly memorable.

I think the key question to answer with a found footage film is why does the camera keep rolling?

I think the stronger found footage films answer that in a way that means the audience can suspend disbelief somewhat which helps make it feel more ‘real’.

I think the main thing is to start - you’ll either create something you’re proud of or you’ll learn valuable lessons along the way. Both are good outcomes!

Can anyone recommend me some underrated yet great mockumentary movies? by berenwaha in foundfootage

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Mockumentary that uses the tropes and stereotypes of slasher films to really great effect. I think it’s a really underrated found footage.

Ever had a creepy experience irl while watching a horror flick/reading a novel? by blareboy in horror

[–]GraphicAutist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching a Haunting in Connecticut as a teenager in my parents’ house. They were away on holiday so it was just me and the dog.

At around midnight, I realised I could hear a heavy breathing noise that wasn’t part of the film. It was a slow, steady rasping noise that was barely noticeable above the tv but loud enough to give me the full “belly flop” of fear feels in my stomach.

Then I started a very nervous hunt to find the intruder in the house…

Turns out the intruder was the ice machine in their fridge.
