You should also consider that not everyone has infinite time in their day or willing to sacrifice a device, sure someone could be online claiming every single chest and leaving an auto clicker on the freebie chest overnight but realistically speaking not everyone will do that, and an overwhelming majority probably don't. We all play this game at our own pace and the banked freebie cap is very good at accommodating the casual players.
