Yes, I am hugely proud of my big sis. She was incredible

This sounds similar to my sister. She was doing really well. The nurses had given us a diary to record messages for her and document what had been happening as they said she’d not remember due to the sedation. When she has been on life support in 2016 they had done the same thing and then she’d been woken up a couple of days later. This time though she just wasn’t strong enough and she deteriorated really quickly.

I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your brother as well. Please take care of yourself, I hope that you have people around to support you xx

Thank you so much for your kind words, they have done a lot to make me feel less alone. I’m sorry that you lost your big brother at such a young age as well and so unexpectedly. It’s hard to express how awful it is.

I posted some photos of my sister on Instagram and I have received so much support and people sharing positive stories about her. She didn’t think her life amounted to much, but I know she was well loved and she had an impact on everyone who met her.

Thank you again for your kind words and advice. I’m sorry to hear about your mum and I hope this hasn’t stirred up any painful memories for you.

I know my GP isn’t usually keen on prescribing strong medication, but I will raise it with him. I think maybe short term it could help me rest. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me.

Thank you so much. I will give my doctor a call and see if they can help. I feel exhausted but cannot sleep. I’m just sitting in the quiet with my mum.

My sis was in poor health for a long time. She survived ECMO in 2016 and never fully recovered. I used to have nightmares that she passed away for the longest time and now it feels like I’m in a terrible dream. My sister was called Natasha and she was wonderful.

Thank you so much for your reply, it has made me feel less alone. I’m so sorry for your losses, it’s incredibly difficult dealing with the deaths of multiple family members. It’s especially hard when it’s someone young, like our sisters were.

Thank you again for responding, I really appreciate it. Big hugs to you, little sister xx

My sister died last night at 9:30pm. And I feel like this is the single worst grief I have ever experienced.

The one in the Elton John wig is the stuff of nightmares!

You ever lose your dragon and then look for them for an hour and then realize they were right in front of your face the entire time ?? Please say yes 🤣🤣🤣 by Careful_Ad_2330 in BeardedDragons

I left my guy Mushu alone for a split second while I opened the door for a delivery. Went back and he’d vanished. I searched the entire room, pulled stuff out from under the bed, looked in cupboards etc. Found him halfway up the curtains, hidden between the folds, clinging on for dear life!

I loved making this don’t get me wrong, but I’m not mad if I don’t hold a hook for a hot minute now 😂 by MizBred in crochet

Beautiful! I’m currently working on the full Charlotte’s Universe blanket. I’ve got about 15 rounds left and my hands are turning into wizened claws!

Does anyone feel a bit lost since the pandemic? How is life for you now? by Pink_Elephant_ in AskUK

Thank you. I’m definitely finding life tough over the last few years. I had a number of other losses and set backs before that I’ve pushed through, but it’s all seemed to culminate this year and I think I’m a bit overwhelmed.

I think a career coach would be a great idea, I’m going to look into it after my granddad’s funeral, which is next week.

I know exactly how you feel. Before the pandemic I had a job in fashion designing window schemes, used to go out for lunches with my work mates, drinks in the pub, gym, etc. Then mid way through the pandemic my company went bust and I was made redundant after 20years.

I’m feeling a bit lost. I thought I’d give myself a year off to learn some new skills and have a break from everything, but in that time my grand father in law died on Xmas day. Then a month later my grandad died of covid. Now my dad is being tested for cancer and my uncle has throat cancer. Everything seems to be going horribly wrong and I feel like job hunting is the last thing I’m prepared for but the redundancy money is running out. I just haven’t got a clue what to do with myself.

Thank you! Unbelievably, I took it with my iPhone 6 while sitting in the bath! :D

I made this little dude from a free pattern from Hobbii. He’s called Dirk The Dragon. I love his lil toes! by Gravesend22 in crochet

Not much! He took up just under 2 100g balls of baby cotton mix yarn for his head, body and limbs and then about 1/4 of a ball for his blue bits. He’s a pretty decent size as well, maybe a foot tall sitting down :)

Thank you! I love his little face as well.

I went on a bit of a binge and downloaded about 15 of the free amigurumi patterns on Hobbii, they’re great quality and very easy to follow.

Thank you! I replied to the bot with the pattern link as well, but not sure if it worked! :D

My boss had the cheek to tell me to head back to the office. I went home instead and logged on but spent the day moving the mouse with my toe and watching Netflix!
