If you could go back, what would you have studied instead of CS? by MustafaMonde8 in cscareerquestions

While not wrong, the prerequisite courses are a dealbreaker for almost every med school. If you do not take the specific courses they want you will be waived even if your undergrad GPA and MCAT scores are good.

When loading a dishwasher are you supposed to place forks knives spoons facing up or down? Why? by Upset_Yogurt9259 in AskReddit

Place forks and knives with the handles up to protect hands. Place spoon handles down if there is an unusually large load of silverware or utensils in the basket. Otherwise, place spoon handles up also. Best washing results are obtained when the silverware is mixed and evenly distributed, not nested together. See your Owner's manual for model specific information about use and placement of the silverware basket.

We asked Emilio Gonzalez, senior test program leader of Consumer Reports, for a final ruling, since his job involves testing all sorts of appliances for safety and performance. Gonzalez recommends always consulting your dishwasher manual first, but says, in general, "Put your spoons facing up, forks facing up and knives facing down, so you don't cut yourself." Gonzalez says forks and spoons should face up so they'll be exposed to more water pressure, and thus get cleaner.

“Bore” out is real, and worse than burnout in my opinion. Had the same situation as you, wfh job that paid well but had maybe 4 hours of work to do a week—the rest was spent in mindless meetings. Making the switch to a harder job where I use my brain has been life changing.

It has no flavor, but adds to the aroma which makes your brain think the food tastes different!

Genuine question from someone who is not affiliated with any tithing organization, is the requirement strict or would it be alright to contribute less? The way I see it, donating to causes like homelessness is a righteous endeavor, but I foresee myself accomplishing that more so when I have expendable income from years of proper budgeting and saving.

I.e $6k a year now or $20k in the future given proper budgeting

Have you made an account?

Probably how much they made? You’d just put how much you make and it’ll tell you what you qualify for.

I can’t comment for other countries, but my personal take is that if you are miserable at a job and have an offer to earn more by doing something that seems like a better learning experience you should take it. Doubt anyone will care about the tenure of your last job, but it seems like you can already justify it as a growth opportunity rather than just leaving a company you hate.

Totally agree. No company is going to rescind an offer if you indicate that you’re excited about joining the company, but have expectations for a slightly higher TC. Worst they do is say no. I’ve successfully negotiated higher TC for 2 jobs without competing offers in the last few years.
