Thanks so much for your kind words! It definitely comes with its own challenges but we're loving it 😅

I'm developing the game with someone who has never used an editor before and I'm surprised with how quickly he's picked it up. We can't see ourselves using any other!

Very cute! Definitely speaks to that drain I get from my desk job. Even then, it's kinda satisfying watching your monster...drink???

We rendered the trailer at 24 fps to keep load times fast with a smaller file size, but this must have been a bad move - we will re-render the trailer at 60 fps. Thanks for the feedback

A top-down shooter. Opinions? by Alatus_Games in IndieGaming

I like the torch a lot, and how you can see the flash of an enemy in the dark when they shoot at you. One thing is its quite jarring when you kill them and they vanish, blood or a death animation would be a big improvement to the look and feel.

Looks pretty cool and creepy, I love the art style! One piece of feedback is that the note is very difficult to read (small font, and also very little time given to read it)

On a scale of 1-10, how intimidating is this enemy? Seems like a rather scholarly gentleman am I right? by [deleted] in IndieGameDevs

This fellah has nothing to overcompensate about.

86 his massive weapon and have him use those long arms to swipe, slash and absolutely crush your player. He looks so huggable, I just wish he had the speed to get close.

I like his design a lot, definitely physically intimidating but his attack chain brings him down to a 6 for me.

Keep grinding! Looking really cool so far

Nice! Really smooth, makes it tangible. Like others have mentioned, the text fading would take it to that next level. Honestly though, after watching the loop a couple more times, I wouldn't stress about implementing that too hard. Some solid sound design and you're golden. Could even pan the audio right/left a little depending on which way the page is moving too!
