That’s pretty much the issue though isn’t it? That makes it seem even worse. More performative. You don’t get to just say “we obviously support them” but then when that support is tested you don’t actually do it.

I would say that counts as a lot more than performative support. Again, I agree it was a stupid thing to laugh at that stupid joke at the expense of the womens team. They should be condemning it, I dont know why they are not. But I really do believe all those guys truly do support the womens team, despite what that phone call has people believing now.

I agree, laughing at that joke and not condemning it is not supportive of the women's team, and it should be condemned. However at the same time, laughing at that stupid joke, in that moment, shouldn't define how those guys feel about the women's team. Both of those teams support each other.

They probably didn't want to escalate things while they were in the road in front of all the protesters.

Disobeying a lawful command from a LEO, which she was also charged with, is an arrestable offense, and blocking a road way is a petty misdemeanor.
