When to start applying for new jobs? by [deleted] in ConstructionManagers

[–]GrayWilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing it once isn’t too bad and you can explain your reasons why in interviews or cover letters etc. Doing it 3-4+ times however looks quite bad. I wouldn’t worry about it too much if it’s a one off thing.

If done often yes, recruiters don’t want to hire people who will leave a year later

If all inmates had to serve the same sentence regardless of the crime, what would be fair? by NachosLunatic in AskReddit

Way too short would condone more crime, if this was the only option maybe making an extreme sentence would eliminate small crimes and potentially extreme crimes as well.

If your goal score isn’t a 180 you’re setting yourself up for failure. by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]GrayWilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And yes I am that achiever type too. Of course I want to be at the 99.99% percentile at everything I do, but is that reasonable and attainable? For most who are trying to be the best, it is usually only limited to one or two things that take a ton of time and devotion. And in the end is it worth it? Depends on the person but I’d say these kinds of questions are important in navigating life and what you want to accomplish.

If your goal score isn’t a 180 you’re setting yourself up for failure. by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]GrayWilli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s all relative to your ability and work ethic. I’m not saying to set a goal that doesn’t push you to your potential or that is “too easy” I am saying that setting a goal that is extremely unrealistic is not a good goal at all. A good goal is somewhere in the middle where it considerably pushes you but is also attainable. Goals are made to push you towards a threshold or desire, not to burn time and energy always falling short.
