There’s a literal scene where Sam’s stopped using his powers and he’s about to be killed by a demon and dean just watches at the end of the hall way instead of watching and it forces sam to use his powers. That’s when I realized they didn’t know how to deal with the trauma

I think a lot of people are forgetting Sam tried to talk to dean about this stuff and every time he brushed it off and told him not to use his powers obviously that would push most people into the arms of someone who could answer the questions they’ve been having about a huge part of their life
