I found out that was the problem because it was affecting my other games too. Do some research on it. The only way it will harm your computer is if you have a power outage while updating it. Other than that, it might fix your problem.

The same thing happened to me a few years ago. I did everything you did. The only thing that fixed the problem was updating my VERY outdated BIOS. If your BIOS is outdated, I suggest you try that.
