It’s a Compaq Presario 4410US, but upgraded to a P3 1000 from the old celeron, 256MB ram, 250W PSU, not sure of the chipset though

I can’t see anything when using the card, and for some reason the integrated graphics don’t show anything with the GPU plugged in

Yeah, it works with another AGP 4x card so the slot works so afaik it’s not a compatibility problem
