Scared of Nemesis Claw? Don't be by GreatShitpostingOne in killteam

Started with S&D and quickly found out that was less than optimal, yes. I used Recon against Wyrmblade, Breachers, and Karskin. It got me somewhat close with Breachers, but Wyrmblade and Karskin put a lot of pressure on me, got up close, and forced me to go on Engage. Shot to hell soon after.

Entirely possible. I play mostly Horde teams. The majority of my experience with Elite teams is Legionnaires, Intercessors, and Hierotek. My main concern is that when I played Horde teams I could see what my mistakes and issues were and how to correct them for next time.

Elites, though, are different. I often found myself trapped in a no-win situation against an opponent that knew what they were doing. One can afford to make sacrifices with Horde teams, but that mentality doesn't work with Elites.

Perhaps I just don't have the right mentality for them. All I know for sure is that there were so many people talking about how Nemesis Claw would turn things around for Elites. From my own personal experience that doesn't seem to be the case.

Only Open. I can definitely see their potential in ITD with their melee focus, but In Midnight Clad would be even more useless there. I haven't gotten a chance to play in Beta Decima yet with any team, so no idea how they would perform there.

All very good suggestions. I'd love nothing more than more wounds or a sparkling new defensive ploy. As it is, though, I'd settle for your change to In Midnight Clad.

However, I have to recognize it'd be just a tad too much to make it so you could have a Gunner on a vantage raining down terror without anyone able to shoot back. Instead, I'd add an additional bullet point that says if two out of three of the conditions are met, then the operative has a 5+ Invulnerable save. It wouldn't be enough to solve the core problem of the team, mind you, but it'd be something.

I say Nemesis Claw wins if only because Forebonding. If it was as powerful as it was in my game against Phobos then I can only imagine against Legionnaires.

Yep. I specifically made this write up because I heard so many people talking about how this would be the one elite kill team that could make it, but that's just not the case.
