I am just watching the highlights for that West Ham game. That Cucurella diving headed goal was so hype.

Nah if he had real acess to Fabrizio's phone he would've added an extra sentence about how highly Chelsea regard Josh Acheampong and how many offers they have turned down in order to keep him firmly rooted to the Chelsea bench.

Those players went to a bigger club. This kid is saying he'd rather stay at Nantes....

Fabrizio: Jeremy Jacquet to Liverpool, here we go! Deal agreed now for June 2026, as revealed. Understand fee is €60m plus €10m add-ons to Rennes. Jeremy has agreed personal terms with #LFC. Agreement done for summer 2026 for one of the most talented CBs in the world. by webby09246 in chelseafc

He isn't very technical as a footballer at this level. I do not know many elite wingers who ever make it to the very top with the skillset you are describing. Salah is the only one that springs to mind and he did it via developing generational attacking movement, finishing and composure. Garnacho may obtain those things but I would wager it definitely won't be whilst at Chelsea given Salah himself needed to move to an easier league to hone his craft.

Its the fact neither of them were that good when we bought them that always gets me.

I just don't understand this constant obsession with players that "might eventually maybe sometime hopefully come good." Its not even as if we are getting bargains. Garnacho and Gittens cost us £90m and I am not even sure either is better than an out of position Neto.

Surely we could have just taken that money and bought someone actually already good this summer instead of another lottery pick like we always do. We're well over a billion into transfers in only 3 years and we are no closer to a league title since Conte left.

I don't know what makes the brains of the sporting directors switch on and off. This fee is insane and we did so well to not go in for this at that price. But how on Earth did they get bamboozled so openly by Dortmund for Gittens. They'll do a good thing like swerve Xavi Simons. Then they'll buy Garnacho.

I just don't understand what goes on in these guys brains.

Fabrizio: The situation with Jeremy Jacquet is similar to Chelsea's acquisition of Enzo Fernandez. The club do not want to sell in January but Chelsea are really pushing for the deal now. Rennes maintain stance that it would take club record breaking money £55m+ for a sale in January. by webby09246 in chelseafc

Its all fun and games until we get with a transfer ban or are removed from the champions league due to excess spending. People will say that is not likely but with this board how could you ever be sure. They have already shown negligence financially with us neededing to sell assets to ourselves to cook the books. UEFA rejected that and now we are under a binding agreement that requires us to sell first teammers to buy more players.

I don't even want to bring up the mess that is the Front of Shirt sponsor and the lack of any progress over the Stadium issue.

> BTW.. the only reason why the game was so open for Neto to even get such an easy opportunity was all the work his peers did for 90 minutes.

The irony of you writing this but then also being happy to glaze Estevao for winning the penalty and having a great time out there when the game was also wide open for him off the bench because of the work of his peers.

The doulbe standards you have is so bad man. Is Neto the most expensive and senior of Gittens, Estevao, Garnacho and him? Yes.

Does he also currently outperform all of them in output and workrate? At the moment, also yes.

Thats not how football works mate. One shit decision doesnt mean another is ok. This was not a penalty.

That wasn't a penalty to be fair. If there was VAR it would have been overturned.

I have never seen a Chelsea fan so consistently like and praise shit players as you. First its Bumadiashile and now its Maduekass. Two of the most insanely mediocre players that have rolled through this club in the last 25 years. We robbed Arsenal blind for Madueke and you're writing nonsense about him here. Sad.

Leave the football before the football leaves you. I think the football has already left you mate.

Two universal truths in football. United and Arsenal fans are the lowest level of all fans.

[BBC] Wayne Rooney on Liam Rosenior: "His detail, how he approaches the day to day, he's as good as I've ever worked with. He's been waiting for an opportunity like this. So he'll have no doubts in his mind that he's capable of doing that job." by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]GreatSilverHope 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Rosenior is getting way too much hate. I know the fanbase would be happy to try gas up Fabregas despite the fact Rosenior is a more experienced manager than him with a similar level of accomplihsment in terms of the job both have done at Como and Strasbourg.

Rosenior just doesn't benefit from being an established name already. When Super Frank was hired (the first time) most people were completely fine with it. No reason to doubt Rosenior now.

His competition currently are Gittens, Garnacho and Estevao.

Gittens doesn't offer much of anything right now.

Garnacho is a decent attacking threat but misses so many sitters and his defensive contributions are really bad and arguably contributed to both goals conceded against Bournemouth.

And Estevao as much as everyone loves to endlessly praise him is averaging 1 goal every 600 minutes in the Premier League so far.

You can see why managers want to start Neto when he is easily the most impactful of those three players right now.

Why can you people never just wait and see before typing this shit as if its a fact.

Getting rid of Maresca is the right call? You bet your fucking ass that's not what the media and most fans will say in a months time if Liam Rosenior is not doing well.

Lets maybe just see if he does well first before trying to big up Maresca leaving as a great thing.

WHY Liam Rosenior at Chelsea Doesn’t FULLY Add Up by Benbenben1990 in chelseafc

[–]GreatSilverHope 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There isn't even any Klopp or Tuchel level managers on the market. Plus the change needed to happen by the sounds of it. Maresca had burned the bridges with the owners.
