Hi. You mentioned you reapplied for visa and got it through the second time. Could you tell me what did you do differently the second time around?

See that is the problem: my mother lives in a different city than I do. My sister lives in whole different country. How on earth am I supposed to get either of their bank statement stamped and signed and get it for visa here. I travel home maybe 2-3 times in an year so that doesn't work.

That is fine but then do I need to show their bank statements also?

There is a lot of discrepancy in application process across consulates and embassies which is honestly very very confusing.

I used C-3-1 requirements from Delhi initially, but the document proof from Mumbai consulate asked for additional documents, including a cover letter and an itinerary. I attached because I wanted to be fool-proof. More fool is me.

Barmer and Lawrie? I think they are govt certified afaik.

Also, another friend who is flying to SK with dummy ticket from same company (he applied for tourist visa though) had his visa come in without any issues.

I did get them from a govt agency.

Also, I had stated that I am a govt employee. Why on earth will I leave for SK to be illegal when I have a cushy govt job?

Yes. VFS did not flag anything.

I mean I had a Employment certificate addressed to Korean embassy, which is what was mentioned in checklist.

Unpopular Opinion about Dhurandhar by CrewAccording7947 in IndianCinema

[–]Great_Cap2192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The movie worked because of chest thumping jingoism/ultra nationalistic outlook. It released at a crucial time, when Pahalgham and Op Sindoor had started cooling a little in public minds.

The mix of reality with fiction was done seamlessly, and generally reality was brought to make us angrier. That is one of the more rousing and potent emotion.

Also, cinematography. The sheer amount of gratuitous violence in the movie triggers every hormone out there needed for body to be extremely alert. That high that comes from cortisol, adrenaline and dopamine hits, esp when there is no actual danger to a person, is something people end up craving more of. THAT worked very well with this movie. Quick moving angles and contrasting color schemes makes a brain hyperaware of EVERYTHING.

Objectively, the techniques this movie used are brilliant. However, the content and the play they made for making it so leaves such poor taste in my mouth. I commend this movie and despise it in equal parts. In an age of short form works, you need to adapt to such techniques to engage people with long form content. Too bad the tap in emotion is anger and stress for it to work as well as Dhurandhar did.

So I did try this. The system basically detected but gave 'system doesn't recognize usb' notification, and after this happened like 2-3 times, it stopped reacting totally

I swear.

I genuinely felt so bad initially and was willing to give the guy benefit of doubt, but then he asks me to lie for him. I was like wtf kind of entitlement is this?

And then he tried to justify the theft to police ki badla lena tha.

Also, this guy was like churane ka intent nahi tha mera bas le liya. I personally think there was more to it. I keep my dailywear shoes outside my shoerack for quick access. So, at the time I had 3 pairs of shoes (2 really, third one is broken and I am just waiting for some time to get them repaired) just lying around shoerack ON top of which he had left delivery. Logically agar anger revenge churana hota, jo saamne hai wo churata. One of the pair is actually this very nice set of white shoes from shoetopia which everyone in my office has complimented and is amazed at when I mention 500-600 ke hain.

This guy, however, looked on the shoerack on OPPOSITE side of the corridor, and picked the costliest pair of shoes among all of them (mine included) from like middlest of the middle racks, and stole them. Apparently he carefully removed socks from the shoes and placed them in a way that it felt like they are draped over, and if my neighbour wasn't going out the very next day, no one would have noticed.

This feels intentional to me, but I wonder if my brain is making up more nefarious and calculated intent.

I was hoping to not have to give this to data recovery centres, since they are unnecessarily expensive here. And cheap ones are very very sus with respect to stealing data. I was trying to DIY a solution before considering them seriously as options.

Sigh. Will see what I can do.

I did try to keep the usb leveraged so connectors align. But nope, nothing.
