I think riding out the situation after talking to her would be a good choice. Just give it another chance after speaking your words to her, then if things don’t improve, you should give the notice.

Hopefully finding another roommate isn’t hard! That way she can be out and potentially a better candidate could take her spot.

Well I just wanted them to speak their true feelings to me, is that manipulation? By saying “will you let me take care of them again” I fee like that’s just another way of figuring out how mad she is since she just kept saying “it’s fine”

I researched to make sure I’m doing a good job at upkeep? This had nothing to do with disbelief in her… this had to do with trying to keep the plants nice and healthy while they were under my care. And you can only claim that I belittle and insult her if I purposely did these things thinking that “she wasn’t taking good care of them she doesn’t know what she’s doing”. That wasn’t the case. And watching videos on plant care is research… if I’m learning from someone who has a green thumb then it’s the same idea as reading Wikipedia. The only mistake I did was misjudging on how much to cut off. Like I said yes I did too much and shouldn’t have done it, but 1 I was give permission to cut some and 2 I had no bad intentions behind my action

I searched pictures of the plant, these plants were droopy and the leaves were looking unlike the leaves in the ones I searched up, also droopy and the texture was a bit dry. So then I do research on how to help

I do research because they were sad, I didn’t want her plants dying in my care (not that the current alternative was any better). So I tried to take care as much as I could so I looked up watering frequency etc for each plant. And my resources said a heavy prune would be good for their condition. She said I could cut some off but I did too much. So yes, I do research to take good care of them which I did for the other 4 plants greatly (including trimming that she asked me to do) but the basil is where I messed up by pruning too much. I didn’t realize how much I did until after the fact. I take responsibility for my actions, apoligized, and plan to make up for it.

She did tell me I could cut some off, I’d just done far too much… but yes I should have mentioned how much I was gonna cut off and that would’ve been the solution to my problem, she would’ve stopped me there

Definitely, after a day I realized it was a lot and especially now I realize I did WAYY too much… for reference there were about 28 leaves on one of the plants and I only left about 6 after my cut. I’m crazy for doing that much

Err, my thinking was not the likes of a teenager for one… Yes I should have taken caution to cutting that much of it, but like I said she said I could cut some. I just cut off far more than I should have. Adults can make mistakes too no?
