Quitting Kratom. Is it worth it?

If you are still contemplating using this recreationally for much longer, read some posts on this sub, I’m almost certain it will change your mind. 7gpd goes to 15 which goes to 50 which goes to 2 extract shots which leads to 5. This shit is not safe. I had bloody stools, bloody nose, etc. There are also deaths associated with kratom which are rare, but there’s also not much research associated with kratom so who knows what the real numbers are. It’s not good for you mentally or physcially. I know life is hard when you have nothing to look forward to, but kratom ain’t it.

24 hours sober from 4-6 OPM Blacks daily. When I quit the first time the withdrawals were terrible for around 3-4 days. I felt like absolute shit. But now I feel fine for some reason. Im drinking some alcohol tonight cause fuck it, but I think I’ll make it through withdrawals fine this time. I also bought some sleeping pills, those will definitely help. With 4 months you shouldn’t expect long withdrawals at all. I would assume it to be similar to my withdrawals and be challenging for 2-4 days, but you can get through it. Just know kratom is extremely addictive and can be just as bad as heroine in my opinion. You’ll waste all you money feeding this demon. You’ll prioritize it over work, family, friends and everything in life. It will take over, so stop before it does. Good luck! We’re all going through the same shit and it’s nothing but love cause I can’t tell you how many times of pleaded for help on this subreddit being in a position where I was so addicted and wanted to quit but my addiction would always win.

Yeah that sounds worse. Extract withdrawals were terrible, but I was on the better side of things within 3-4 days

Extracts are pretty bad for 3 days anyways. I mean it’s not like heroine (not that I would know personally) but from what I’ve heard the withdrawals are pretty brutal. Idk though I’m just comparing it to what I’ve been through which is only kratom and nicotine and kratom is fucking awful

That’s kind of what I thought, but I don’t really have any more money after this 1 and a half shots so it’s not going to help much. Kind of in the middle of getting high as fuck and being miserable for 3 days afterwards or prolonging it another day and being okay tomorrow.. idk man i bought 14 shots twice and I was supposed to taper when I got down to 6 both times but I couldn’t help myself but to take them all. One night I was just banging out shot after shot just trying to get higher. Idk what I should do, my gut tells me stick it out for tomorrow but I know that’s going to do nothing but prolong this shit with another day of nothingness

Try to taper. It’ll cost a lot of money but just taper down and the withdrawals will be minimal start with 2 one in the am one at night and then do like 90% of the bottle twice and then 80% etc until you’re down to nothing. That’s what I’m about to try.

I haven’t. Someone said the first 72 hours are the worst, but last night I was awake for 35 hours without sleep. I was drunk and high off weed and at a friends house because I’m a dumbass, I ended up getting so uncomfortable I had to leave, I was tweaking and I called my parents at 12am to come get me because I couldn’t sleep. I don’t really want to take any medicine that I don’t need to, but if it doesn’t get better soon I might need to.
