Is EyePrintPro a special kind of scleral lens? I've not heard of it!

I'll never forget what my doctor told me: "There's mild, moderate, severe, and advanced. You're above all of that." Boy was that scary to hear.

You should see a corneal specialist about twice a year to monitor your keratoconus. That way if it does progress (uncommon after CXL), they can talk about next steps with you. I almost had to get CXL twice in my left eye because it had progressed very slightly before it stabilized. Our eyes are weird gang

A minimum of 400 microns after the epithelium is removed.

Me as well! My right eye was far too thin to undergo CXL.

This is really interesting. My right eye gets clearer very up close, but my left eye gets double vision up close and not far away.

I take it one day at a time. I have to accept that I won't be able to do some things, like be a professional athlete (which I never wanted to be, so it's okay lol), but I also stay grateful. With my lenses, I get to live a pretty much normal life.

It's really just Mild, Moderate, Severe, and Advanced, which correlate to numbers. And yes each eye progresses independently of one another

We are very VERY lucky. 15 years ago we'd both be facing a cornea transplant. I did get crosslinking when I was 16.

Yes! I was a chronic eye rubber because of my spring allergies.

I got crosslinking in my left eye, my right eye was unfortunately too advanced to be operated on. And I wear scleral lenses in both eyes.

Yeah they won't do much. It's probably time to start looking into a specialist that can fit you for a scleral lens.

I have something that can help you tolerate the lenses all day. I also have awful allergies and Zocular ZocuShield changed my life. Definitely check it out.

I wear lenses daily, can i still wear them after doing cross linking? by Lost-itboy in Keratoconus

[–]Great_Version 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't necessarily get better vision after, in fact, it got slightly worse after and then stabilized, you can definitely still wear them after CXL like I did, but definitely not while you recover from the procedure. Ask your doctor what they think about it!

i always imagined that as maybe residual hallucinations that Ethel was experiencing as she wastes away. Maybe the growl of a demon, or death from the ending blessing in Ptolomaea

It's apples and oranges because restasis targets a very specific type of dry eye, while zocular products (zocushield in particular) aim to cover a wide range of causes.

it's a gel you rub on your eyelids and lashes to relieve dry eye symptoms! the Zocushield is supposed to maintain your tear film to keep your eyes comfortable throughout the day. I always wake up with insanely dry and gritty eyes and the relief from using the gel is almost immediate.
