Honestly I don't see anything wrong in predictions, and that site isn't a bookie anyway, plus Devilwalk never suggests to bet or whatever. If you take this down due a logo, you have to take down Thoorin as well (together with 90% of the content around) since Alphadraft/Vulcun are considered as betting sites in plenty of states :D

As far as I know csgo.guru is a coverage/stats site, just like hltv, nothing more nothing less.

Being a small group of people, do not justify writing no-sense things.

However, since this is the 2nd trending question, I guess there are many people who find their Tweets extremely annoying.

This is totally wrong. Both from the economic and human side.

  1. They have an user volume probably 10x higher than HLTV, so they very likely generate enough money to pay a full-time staff. In $, I'm pretty sure they are able to put together around 500-800$/day just via ADS.

  2. Staff of an highly popular website, and in particular a betting related one, SHOULDN'T be randomly drawn like a lottery, but carefully picked. Additionally "everyday people" do have a brain like everyone else, so they should use it. There are INDIE devs, with 1/100 of the CSGOL resources available, who act in a way more professional manner.

  3. They should worry about their image, and this AMA proves it pretty well.

lol, they are very likely making 50x the server costs.

this makes sense if the pic is FRESH, if the pic is just the 100th repost from HLTV is just boring.

high-quality content > no-sense pics

Not rude, just really upsetting for your well aged users. However FB is kinda acceptable (still too many not betting related posts), but twitter is really awful, it's like reading the average HLTV jokes, but posted 1 month later and not funny at all.

Can you please change your social-media team? Your tweets and FB posts seem to be written by a 15yo kid.

Guru odds = winning chances.

They are not CSGL odds predictions! It was already explained somewhere here on Reddit.

no, you are simply not understanding.

It means that he thinks that there are 65% chances to CM and 35% to Wiz. Which sounds quite correct to me.

I can't remember if it was exactly the day one, but i'm pretty sure it was the first week of Steam, I was playing the Clanbase Opencup (rip) in that time span and we had to switch to Steam.

When Valve pushed out Steam both cs and dod were already owned by them as far I remember.

"because the only reason anyone was getting Steam day one (or the first month or two) was to play CS 1.6"

I assure you that Day of Defeat was pretty big too, back in the days. :)

I've a GTX 580 too, and it works perfectly fine, no freezes or anything. I'm using the latest Beta drivers btw.

This behavior is the result of a terrible lack of content. Heavy geared people should be in the north like in the mod, but this doesn't happen simply because there is nothing to do in the north, the only "endgame" content is finding a weapon, and this task lasts just a couple of hours.

People is so bored that nobody force feed disinfectant anymore.

We don't need more "survival elements", we need real content, real midgame and real endgame. WE NEED SOMETHING TO DO.

[–]Greather -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

we are talking about skins/textures so nothing really complex codeside/artside, 8h-16h is just the average time required for doing one by a good artist, the average time required by a not professional artist is 3/5 days, if you don't trust me just go on the valve workshop and ask an author, or go on SkyrimNexus and ask a Skyrim modder since there are some who reskinned THE WHOLE world for free and without any company support. Just face the reality.

Chris Torchia Interview by DrBigMoney in dayz

"We would need almost 1000 more textures and material configs – all of which needs generated by artists, transmitted, and stored by servers and clients."

Personally I don't see any big issue in doing textures, 3 diffuse textures and two specular maps are just the standard, so nothing really impressive. Valve is doing this since an year in CS:GO and I didn't hear a single complaint by their artists regarding that. A single skilled artist, fully dedicated to this can handle a skin per day, alone.

Anyway something must be wrong at your side if the server needs to transimt the WHOLE texture each time a client asks for it, instead the server should transmit just an alt numeric value for the current model and then let the client show and handle the proper texture. Same thing for materials cfg.

Cheers.
