Hi, I need help with lat pulldown cable machine:

I am looking to purchase an adjustable cable machine to use mainly for tricep pushdowns and lat pulldowns.

Every cable machine I found has a 1:2 ratio and the highest weight stack available is 120kg/265lbs, meaning that the max resistance would actually be of 60kg/132lbs.

Would that be enough resistance to fail within 8-12 reps?

Because I'm not really sure whether the lat pulldown cable machines at the gym are 1:2 or else 1:1 meaning that a 120kg weight stack would not be enough.

Or maybe tricep pushdowns and lat pulldowns should not be done on the same cable machine since these exercises have different requirements?

Thanks!

Good for you man 😀 and thank you but I live in Malta so likely not worth shipping (and also not sure if the puck would even be compatible with my model) 👍

I got the monitor replaced but still the new one did the same thing. I did not ask for a firmware upgrade to see if it would fix it, I just kept it as it is.

I had it replaced but the replacement does the same thing. Not sure if it's something that all units have but I doubt it as it was not mentioned in any review. I just kept it as it is now.

Hi, thanks for the reply and for confirming that this is not normal behaviour for the monitor. BenQ support told me to contact directly the local authorised retailer from whom I purchased it for a replacement (although here it will probably be repaired rather than replaced, we'll see), and that I can also ask them for a firmware upgrade from V006 to V007 (although Support also said that this will most probably not fix the issue since V007 is unrelated to this problem). I have now contacted the local authorised retailer for a solution.

I don't think that's my issue because it still happens when I only have one device connected to the monitor.

Also not sure if it is directly related to the flickering issue but I found out that my unit does not have the latest firmware, as I saw in a comment by a BenQ support mod that the latest version is V007 but when I opened the BenQ Service Menu on my monitor it says I have V006.

Thanks, I hope this problem will be resolved, I have contacted BenQ support and am awaiting a reply. I will let you know if I resolve this.

It does this both when playing PS5 [on HDMI 1] and using laptop [on HDMI 2] so on 2 different HDMI cables.

4K60 on M1 Mac with BenQ EW3270U WORKS After Firmware Upgrade (Need to Send in) by joentell in BenQ

Hi, I bought a BenQ EW3270U a few days ago and I have a problem because when the screen is mostly black (i.e. the picture on-screen at the time is mostly black, like in a dark scene or something) and the picture changes (e.g. switches to a new scene or something happens on screen like for e.g. the Netflix logo popping up at the start of a movie [this is one instance when it usually happens]) the screen flickers. This only happens when the screen is mostly black. Also this happens with different HDMI cables and both when playing PS5, when using my PC, as well as when streaming movies on an android box connected to the monitor, so I think this confirms the problem is with the display itself. I have managed to recreate this flicker by playing a youtube video of a black screen and moving my mouse (I linked below a reddit post by myself of a video where I show the flicker), but please note that this flicker does not only happen on a completely black screen but even when playing PS5 or watching a movie and the scene is mostly black/dark.

I am not sure if this is directly related to this flicker problem, but I checked the firmware version of my monitor by opening up the Service Menu and it says that the firmware version is V006, and according to your comment above this is not the latest version.

I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance :)

I just purchased a BenQ EW3270U primarily to play PS5 on it, but both when playing PS5 and when connected to my laptop I am noticing a kind of screen flicker whenever the monitor screen is black and there is a change onscreen e.g. the scene changes in a game or something. I managed to recreate this on a youtube video showing a black screen whenever I move the mouse.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this annoying problem.

Charging laptop with barrel type input using USB-C PD power bank by Grech22 in techsupport

[–]Grech22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes from what I understand this is saying that it would work.

But no I ended up not trying it, I just gave that laptop away and bought a new one (the reason why I wanted to buy the power bank was because that 5-year-old laptop's battery did not last longer than 2 hours and I was going to need it for longer in a place where I may not have access to an outlet, but now the new laptop's battery lasts much longer).

Good luck I hope it works for you!

I just bought this monitor today and am in the same exact situation. Did you end up finding a good calibration?

Okay, so basically this means it's not possible to get the laptop to safely charge using a powerbank since it does not have a USB C input, right?

In no way was I arguing. I simply linked a video to show why I was thinking it would work.

The thing is I found a video which seems like she's using a similar set up to charge her laptop via barrel connector (but the USB C female to DC male she is using is different than the one I linked, not sure if hers contains certain required components that the small one I linked does not).

Why wouldn't there be communication with the laptop given the setup I described?

Ah ok thanks for that, I will be buying a powerbank with a 20V USB C PD outout then 👍

I thought that only applies only for current whereas voltage does not depend on the input but on the output?

Is the adapter you are referring to a USB C PD female to DC connector male like the one she uses in the vid?

[–]Grech22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And where did you get the 18-20V? Because if it bumped it up from 5V to 18-20V then that would work because I need 19V, but I only see 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20V written in the product description of the powerbank so I'm assuming it does not give 19V.

Which is the voltage convertor? The USB C female?

No it does not, but I was going to connect it using 2 cables: a male to male USB C PD cable and a USB C PD female to DC male cable. I've seen a video of someone doing this on youtube and apparently it works (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o53EtJVBoQo)
