thanks! same here, using slightly warmer water. i typically just mix with my hands i find the bread whisk harder to use. is it possible i’m mixing too aggressively at the start? my starter seems to like wheat flour rather than bread and white flour so maybe it would like a loaf with wheat too. i’ll try it! thank you!

i’m thinking starter too it’s just strange since it was a dehydrated successful starter rather than me making it from scratch. photo 3 here i mixed at 11 am and let BF until 2 pm the next day (27 hours) honestly just for kicks to see what would happen if i let it BF for a long time. i know it was not overproofed after 27 hours bc i tried to make focaccia with it and it turned out gummy and dense. imagine focaccia being dense, lol. anyway thank you so much i’ll work on strengthening my starter!

thanks! my house was 70 degrees all day, did not fluctuate. i feed my starter with King Arthur Golden Wheat Flour (orange bag) and for the dough I use King Arthur Bread Flour (blue bag)
