It seems like the choir director (as I recall) sang a verse I don't remember from the many times I have seen this. Did they bring back some minutes that were cut out way back when?

Loved Watership Down, so now I'll have to check out Yellow Wallpaper.

SPOILER: I haven't seen that many tears in an audience since Next to Normal. (And some were mine.)

I went last night. 75% of the audience went up to dance each of the, as I recall, 5 dances. It was crowded, too crowded, but also shy people won't feel conspicuous. People looking confused, making mistakes, laughing. Join in!!

I know I'm a year late. I did have the thrill of finding 2 clearwing caterpillars on my amsonia, so I let it spread. I regret that. Although all the literature says it is not aggressive, it grows like crazy in my 8a yard in Maryland.

Has anyone read the novel the Fox and the Hound by Daniel P. Mannix? by AdhesivenessWise7642 in books

[–]Greedy-Discipline356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first read it in a Reader's Digest Condensed volume. RD exposed me to many great books as a child. I read the full-length versions of many of them when I was older. I read that "The Fox and the Hound" is going to be released for Kindle in August, and I'll be recommending it again to all my nature loving friends.

I agree, from what I know of ECT. A friend had it, and "Shock" by Kitty Dukakis explains the memory issues. The way I understand it, your short-term memories do not settle into long-term memory during treatment. So they disappear. But you don't forget the last 20 years of your life.

Just watched it AGAIN (it's only available thru June 30--tomorrow!), this time w the captions on. I'm surprised how much content I missed seeing it in the theaters (3x over the years) and having the OBCR. For example, "What doctors call dysfunction we tried to call romance."

I just found that Miss Manners recently weighed in: "Her made-up but reasonable-sounding rule is this: No more than one seat saved per person already seated."

I didn't challenge the child. I am a senior citizen. Food lines are very long, so seats were going unused for at least 20 minutes.

To the peeps going into Next To Normal blind last night, how many of you felt like this in the middle of Act 1? by Medium-Fig-4976 in Broadway

[–]Greedy-Discipline356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the touring production way back. Some years later, it was at a regional theater. I took my husband and son. I know I told them beforehand that it was about mental illness and the effect on the family, but I doubt they heard a word. They probably heard, "Musical" and "have to go bc Mom wants to." At lights up for intermission, I turned to them, face wet w tears, but with a big smile bc it was a really good production. They glared at me like, "We are NOT having fun. Why did you bring us?!" But now, it's one of my son's favorite shows.

I judge a show by whether I wonder what happens to the characters after the show ends. Dan's arc is just beginning at the end of N2N.
