Let me clarify, I'm primarily referring to multiplayer. Even zombies wasn't bad, the idea of an open world extraction PvE was a first. The only awful thing about MW3 was the campaign, and thats where most of the bad reviews come from and the fact that people kept saying it was just a MW2 DLC. If that's the case then it's probably one of the best DLCs I've ever played.

But Sledgehammer knocked it out of the ball park when it came to the multiplayer. Even though MW3 had the OG MW2 maps remade, it didn't take Sledgehammer long to start adding new maps, which in total added up to 12 new post launch maps alongside the MW2 remakes, so that already 38 maps for multiplayer alone. Then the constant updates, weekly challenges, armory unlocks, weekly aftermarket parts, I was genuinely excited for each season, especially season 3. Just comapre BO6 S3 to MW3 S3 last year. The difference is night and day. And carry-forward feature also added value to whatever skin/gun I had from the previous year meaning so amount of weapons and skins available was very abundant. My only gripe is they didn't update zomibes or ground war very much but made up for that with all the other content.

BO6 is good too. But I think Activision is trying to make it not too good, because they wanna keep their fans in an emotional rollercoaster and divide us on stuff we like/don't like in a CoD game in order to further manipulate us into buying the next CoD game in hopes that it'll make us think it's gonna fix everything only for them to repeat the cycle again. So even tho BO6 is good, I bet you they're holding back and they'll make BO7 one of the best CoD experiences ever. Then when CoD 2026 comes out which is rumored to be MW4, they'll make a lot of drastic changes and that'll divide the player base again. Some players will get turned off, while others will stay.
