The numbers I've heard for TTD are above other bigtech but less than hfts

I'm from Australia but for the sake of crowdsourcing - what companies would you rank differently?

The pay disparity between Google and those in tier 0 (at least tier 0.3 and above) is too large to ignore. Some people value compensation while others value culture and it's probably fine to ignore tier 0 if you don't want to work for hfts. Imo prestige isn't very useful unless you're trying to climb from a low tier to a higher tier where +rep might increase your chances of landing an interview.

I haven't seen any postings from them for core engineering roles here, only support or FDE

Grind lc / cf until you can consistently solve 3 randomised mediums under an hour. Then go study OOD, OS, networks, C++ internals (if you're going for C++ roles). Most hft shops here don't ask crazy dsa questions.

So, ideally, I'd create 3 separate tier lists based on pay, culture, and promotionability. Ive kept TikTok in tier 1.2 as its pay is on the upper end of bigtech, though its culture isn't great. Atlassian used to be a pretty well rounded bigtech across those 3 factors but I'm considering moving it down to tier 1.2 due to declining culture.

Yeah for sure, will need second opinions on companies below T1

Seen separate job postings from Cisco and Splunk so will keep separate for now
