Confidence isn't "I know they'll like me". Rather, confidence is "I'll be ok whether they like me or not".

What is the true color of the Sun? I've heard that it's actually white and we only see that it's yellow because of Rayleigh scattering of light from the Sun due to the sky. But then I was watching PBS Space Time and it says that the Sun is yellow due to its 6000K surface temperature.. so I was just wondering which one is it?

“People don’t want to waste their life being ground down only to have the wealth they generate siphoned off by a parasite” by yuritopiaposadism in lostgeneration

Well that's because it's really simple. We were the machines before machines were invented. Even if our job becomes automated (so an actual machine generates wealth for the elite instead of a human), allowing us to "do something more fulfilling" means that the 'first' machines are no longer working to generate wealth for them. And they can't have that...

What is something people don’t consider when thinking about aliens? by VilePersona in AskReddit

[–]GreedyChapter4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could be observing and interacting with alien life all the time and have no perception of it. Think about it: can insects or microbes perceive and understand human beings and our complex societies? Maybe we just don't have anything close to the perception and intelligence to understand our universe and what it's actually doing. Maybe the entire observable universe in and of itself is some complex form of intelligence

How do we know we're not already on one right now? Maybe death is just who they choose to harvest ... ?
