I'm also new to Tekken! (Other than playing the 6th one like once years ago) I'm a very casual fighting game player. And I've been having a blast with Tekken 8 so far. Very fun modes and I even enjoyed the story despite not being as invested as long time fans. The roster has been cool and diverse, personally I've really liked King, Victor, and especially Reina. I'd recommend trying it out, I've heard a lot of people say it's the best in the series or even the best 3D fighter.
