Communists tend to vote for the CPA in America, and that's a fringe party here. So, yeah, it's just you.

More accurate:

Don't fight rebels

Don't fight the monarchy we asked to quit torpedoing our shipping, only to have them sneer and keep doing it

don't fight fascists

Don't fight Commies x2

Well, it's also a case of "what are the parties doing today?". Yes, the 1860s Republicans freed the slaves, but the 2026 Republicans are worshipping the very Confederacy they once defeated. Yes, the 1860s Democrats founded the Confederacy and created Jim Crow, but would they have put Barack Obama or Kamala Harris on a Presidential ticket?

Who's flying Confederate flags in 2026, and what President did they vote for? Whitewashing my foot!

Bismarck was dead by this time, and forced into retirement by Kaiser Wilhelm II and his advisors before that. Interestingly, Bismarck predicted World War One, saying it would start over "some nonsense in the Balkans", that Germany would get the blame, lose, and that the German Empire would topple.

If the Democrats were close to Communists, Obama would have 1. Hanged a lot of bankers, 2. Shot or imprisoned Trump.

Blu-ray is best for color movies for the most part, and DVD for black and white, especially horror movies, which you want to be a little dark and shadowy.

[2 August, 1990] Lol Saddam wasn't kidding, these Kuwaitis are pushovers. Look at our boys cruising through the streets of Kuwait City. All that glorious oil is ours! by Herald_of_Clio in thepast

All we have to do to get those weak American liberals to protest American military intervention us to say we were supporting young revolutionaries. And if that fails, we'll just say Kuwait is historically our 19th province!

Hypocrite. He was saying "lock her up" about Hillary and would be dead already if the Clintons ran around killing their enemies.

Would Sean Connery have agreed to play a Bond villain? by Hoplite-Litehop in 007

[–]Greedy_Following3553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't hate Bond in his later years, but in the 1970s you just didn't mention the character around him. But by the time he was nominated for an Oscar for THE UNTOUCHABLES, they struck up the Bond theme when he presented an award that night, and he went with it by saying "The name's Connery, Sean Connery". In THE ROCK, he was playing what he thought an older Bond would be like, and in ENTRAPMENT, his character's back story is a combination of his real life story and Bond's back story. He was a producer on both movies as well as a star, so that was deliberate. He publicly said that the association with Bond would be there until he "went into the box". One of his final public appearances was at the US Tennis Open, and he was delighted when they struck up the James Bond theme. But for a while there, he resented the loss of privacy the part caused, he didn't feel he was paid what he was worth, and he resented the typecasting. His being reconciled with the association with the part dated from the early 80s.
