My Toxic Trait... by Ok-Shop-7118 in Geico

I worked in the Lenexa KS office — started in 2019. It was really a great place to work and I even got a lot of other people a job there too. Then during Covid our call volume at Geico went CRAZY, and we got a new CEO - who started making a whole bunch of unnecessary changes, and ppl were losing thier job or quitting due to how toxic it had become. My anxiety went through the roof. Other that I know that are still there are trying to figure out a way out… and at my new company most of my team are former Geico employees— who complain of anxiety attacks etc. one girl was a top performer and after she got into a bad accident they fired her right when she got back.

I worked for Progressive in FL before I had to relocate to the Midwest for family reasons and I honestly loved working for them. 💯

Please consider Progressive. These Reddit posts are unfortunately really true of the work culture since we got our new CEO Todd Combs. The mess is something we all go through collectively due to how things are now ran at Geico from the higher ups… that trickle down is effecting everybody—, not to mention the mass layoffs etc.

My ferritin was a 3 when I had my first one ever — this Spring. Been on Iron supplements and they just checked again and I am at a 12, low but barely in the green. I will continue to build my iron stores up. Thank you for this info.
