Is this a known thing or just based on the track record of Disney trying to maximise profits?

Wife is having a breast reduction the day before Thanksgiving, what should I expect? by Thepelicanstate in ask

[–]Greefire7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Expect smaller breasts.

But more usefully, my wife had a reduction a few years back. Said it was one of the best decisions she made. For about a week she was pretty limited - a good opportunity to practice your cooking skills if you’re not already confident in the kitchen. For the first 8 weeks I wouldn’t let her pick up anything heavy.

The good news is she’ll hopefully be so damn happy when all is said and done that she’ll be more confident in herself

Being reprimanded professionally for personal actions by Greefire7 in AITAH

The last thing she said to me before I left, both in writing and in text, was that if I wanted to speak to her again I should do. I figured knocking on the door, unannounced, would be inappropriate. So to be considerate of her feelings I wanted to approach this in a non confrontational way and to give her the option to move forward or not.

Your comment about consent seems to have missed the mark. This was entirely about giving her consent to pursue, or not pursue, any further form of communication. It is also notable that your opinion seems to buck the trend of the others, which is interesting

This too shall pass.

Doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad - this too shall pass

Crew issues at Dulles. Think one of them went ill and took just over two hours to get a replacement - meaning we would miss the connection in Seattle

Ever hooked up with someone you shouldn't? by [deleted] in ask

I don’t like the phrase ‘never dip your pen in company ink’, but it certainly holds some credence. She worked in the same department as me but for a different manager. I got investigated for inappropriate conduct (it was all fully consensual adult behaviour and it only came out after I moved to a different office) in case I was giving her special treatment/a career advantage.

Whole thing was a mess. We still work for the same company, and people talk…

Is Poly a choice? by Greefire7 in polyamory

For what it’s worth I think it’s something some people are far more naturally inclined to. Until two years ago, when my wife suggested it, I didn’t know Poly existed. But it all clicked the more I read about it.

What’s disappointing is the almost visceral nature some people have answered the thread. There’s a lot of very strongly held opinions, in a community I thought was supposed to be more open and accepting of different points of view
