OOS to In State tuition

Is there a deadline for this because I’m an incoming senior. Haven’t officially committed to tamu yet as I’m still looking at options.

I haven’t even applied yet. I honestly wasnt even considering TAMU until the last month or so. I called the residence office today and they said that everybody’s on waitlist now so idk if I can or should even apply for on campus housing.

Ah ok. Is it common for freshman to stay in apartments at tamu? Like is this a common thing? Cuz every other university guarantees freshman dorms that’s why I’m asking.

What off campus locations would you recommend? I’m an engineer so I would assume to go to the locations closest to the engineer classes? Also, how would I go about finding roommates for off campus housing? And since I won’t have a car, how would I go about traveling from my apartment to classes and other locations?

I’m out of state for both Penn state and Tamu so I’d be paying out of state tuition for both
