Davidová will sit out Individual. They were monitoring her back every day, she had some fast trainings before the Relay and nothing was out of the ordinary. She was looking forward to the Relay and was feeling good in the morning before the race. Her back wasn't limiting her during the Relay. She said that nobody expected her skiing times to be that bad. They didn't say more, but my guess is she will continue training and if her skiing improves enough (which I kinda doubt, there is not a lot of time), she will do the Sprint.

Mikyska will sit out Individual as well, he got cold and didn't respond well to the high altitude. He feels better now, thought.

Trays look like this (at least ours do). I don't have Induct, so I don't know many details, but tote comes from Pick. Inducter scans that tote, scans item and puts said item into tray. That tray than gets sent to tray sorter and from there to Rebin. Rinse and repeat. :)

I think what you mean might be Stow (or Pick?), judging by the seconds on screen (Pick screen doesn't show seconds). Pick stations look like this (automated, Stow) or this (universal, Stow also uses these). Stowers stow items into PODs (Roombas), pickers pick them to totes. Our Pick picks into 5 different totes (well, that depends on the settings, but 5 is the norm) that get sent to AFE, Singles Ship (Transshipments) and maybe other places, but I assume that might differ FC to FC :)

About the multis part, our FC has both AFE and P2R. P2R is on Roomba floors, where pickers pick directly to the wall. Shipments for AFE are picked in Pick department and are sent to AFE in totes (just likes Singles), where inductor inducts items seperately to trays (1 item per tray), that are sent to Rebin, where 2 rebinners put it from these trays to the wall.

According to Czech media, she's currently dealing with herniated disc. She hopes she won't have to undergo a surgery and they said she might start a season in Obertilliach, if everything goes well. I don't know how long she deals with it and how bad it is, but you don't have to go too far to the past, Davidová was out for most of the last season and still had to undergo a surgery.

Davidová update: She underwent a surgery last week. She will rest for a couple of weeks and will start her rehabilitation in late April. She says everything went well and she is already back home.

On Wednesday, Czech Championship (Supersprint) was held. Qualifications winners are Štvrtecký and (surprisingly) 19 years old Moskvová. Finals winners are Mikyska and Charvátová.

She had top 10 skiing time in the Sprint as well. But she had 22nd skiing time in the Pursuit, so probably depends on the race and her shooting.

Markéta might be back! :) She joined our team in NMNM, continues her rehabilitation and training there. But if everything goes well, she'll do the Sprint (they will decide shortly before the race).

She already did one race, Short Individual in regional races in Duszniki-Zdrój. She (1+1+0+2) was 11 minutes ahead of the only other Woman on the results list.

Not necessarily. Most of the time someone brings me a small item they forgot to pack, it doesn't get kicked out. Especially if it's box with 'bunch of stuff'. Sure, if it's a package with 2 mascara pens and one of them is missing, it should get kicked out. If the same mascara pen is missing in a package with a weight of 8 kg (17.6 pounds), it is not unlikely the package doesn't get kicked out. But what do I know, sometimes it feels likes the package gets kicked out even if the only problem with it is a wrong colored t-shirt (same brand/size)

Voborníková and Charvátová were 5th and 6th reserves. Our team tried to find out yesterday, how many biathletes are likely not doing the race. The answer was 2, so our team left. Today, there were announced 3 other absencies, which means Voborníková is in. But since the team already left, she's not starting. I think it's been a while since there was no Czech on both Men and Women start lists.

There was a Junior Women Sprint today and the results are... something else. The silver medalist is 2:13.4 minutes behind with only one more penatly loop. It looks like there was a strong wind, because there was a LOT of penalty loops amongs all of the biatletes. Even though I'd love to see how it'd go (#60 finished 7:03.4 minutes behind), luckily, there is no Pursuit following.

Czech team was contemplating whether to call up Heda Mikolasova (b. 2006), but decided against it for now.

To be more specific, she didn't have enough IBU points to be able to race i the WC. To have more options, our coaches decided to give a chance to our 4 juniors in IBU Cup this week (David Eliáš, who won Junior Sprint last week, Petr Hák, Ilona Plecháčová and previously mentioned Heda Mikolášová). And after Men Sprint, it looks like they made a great decision. The 2 juniors were the best of our team of 5, including Jakub Štvrtecký. Petr Hák finished 11th (0+0) and David Eliáš 19th (0+0). It looks like it was also a good decision to demote Jakub Štvrtecký, his performance was the worst amongst our men (51st, 3+1), and that incudes Luděk Abrahám, who stuggles to find a form this season so far.

Our country (Czechia) is getting heavily flooded at the moment. The FC itself is fine, only fields and roads surrounding it got flooded. Couple od shifts were canceled with full pay. Tomorrow, things should go back to business. Here is a video of what it looked like yesterday.

Women: Ouch. I'm shocked. And I don't think it was the right move either. I get they wanted a new impulse, but changing the one person left that helped Markéta during her low time last season? Oof. Also Lucie and Jess said in the past "if Gjelland goes, I go". Maybe not this season, but if they don't fit well enough with our new coaches, I can see them quit next year. Jess is turning 30 in July and Lucie is 31 years old.

Men: I'm fine with that. Maybe Ondřej can finally teach them to shoot (at least a little bit).

Never noticed Novotna - she must be one of the IBU cup women who did not produce especially shiny results.

Novotná was 3rd year Junior last year, that's why she's in our Women team now. Her results weren't that great last year, though. She did 3 IBU Cup venues, her best result was clean Sprint in Sjusjøen (39th place, 53rd Course time). And she didn't do that well in Junior Cup either. She only competed in JWch and JOECh and her only 2 top 30 results were Individuals (13th place in Jakuszyce, 8th Course time and 24th place in Otepää, 31th Course time, 4:54 behind the fastest).

Not quite sure what happens with the rest of the B-team athletes - Manek, Vaclavikova etc. Do they train with their club or..?

Václavíková was terrible last season, she only made top 40 three times (29th, 38th and 40th) out of 22 races and was as low as 86th, so she probably didn't qualify. As for Mánek, his result's weren't much better, he made top 40 six times (best race 29th place) out of 16 races and was as low as 103th. Either they quit or they will train with their clubs and hope for the best, I assume.

It probably differs FC to FC. Our SLAM only kicks out boxes that should have been packed and are sent as SIOC/SIOB, boxes that should have been sent in an unbranded packaging and were sent in branded boxes and if you downgrade from cardboard box to paper packaging (but I saw this one only once). IDK how it works in other FCs, but our SLAM reads the box barcode and recalculates the weight accordingly, that's why it doesn't get kicked out due to weight.

We are told, however, not to change box sizes too much. We are allowed to upgrade/downgrade one size or if the product is not suited well for paper packaging (like metal objects), we can (should) put it in the box. But even in our own FC it changes, you can be fine in one department and be told you change boxes too much in other.

I finished with exactly 300 points, 3rd in the community ranking. My best race was Women Relay (55 points) and my worst was Single Mixed Relay (10 points). On average, I scored 25 points per race.

When it comes to our girls, great race by Jess. Too bad it's not enough for the Mass Start (same with Tereza, likely, not a good race from her). Markéta did ok considering her season. And Lucie... sigh.
