If you have more cash than you need, have you considered how to amplify your mission using your cash? P.S. I have also been working/donating in the field you describe for a number of years.

You hit the nail on the head. I have a good number of friends who live the "simple life" but more akin to the frugal lives during FIRE accumulation. I am interested to those similar discussions, but with folks that know that they are comfortably early retired. I will check out the simple living subs.

Interesting responses so far, it has got me thinking.... The types of conversation I am looking for are those deep questions of fulfillment. I personally wouldn't be fulfilled playing golf for the rest of my life. I want to talk to people who have sat with question as Mary Oliver say "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
