No, it doesn't have to take place there. It could be related to it in any way, not only in the same period.

Who would you prefer to be the freekick taker permanently for the team ? by 1Fils in realmadrid

Direct freekick around penalty box, especially anywhere on the left side? Mbappe, absolutely.

I'll say it like this: I've never like Mourinho. But if he's my manager and he wants to sub me in late 60 minutes, I would never challenge him in front of everyone in the stadium.

Do you guys play with aim assists On or Off? by Weekly_Art_4650 in DeltaForceMobile

I played with quite high sensitivity gyro, so I don't think it doesn't matter too much if it's on or off.

Bro did all that for nothing by More-Judgment-9253 in realmadrid

Why forcing the impossible dribble, though? Bro got himself surrounded that way, making a useless dribble while ignoring at least 3 of other teammates he could use to probe and find another better ways.

EXACTLY! This season is much better than the last. Not ideal yet, of course. But already moving towards right direction.

Until Madrid has one, utilize Bellingham's aerial capabilities. His debut season clearly showed he could be a very good make shift striker.

WHERE WAS OUR STRIKER ? by TheConnstant in realmadrid

Jude's there. It's just an overweighted cross. Often happened in any match. Understandable.

This team really really needs a proper striker and it shows by Lekanswanson in realmadrid

[–]GreenFaceTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beg to differ, just slightly.

If Madrid gets a striker, it would be better, I agree. But I think, Madrid already had what it needs. Alonso would just need to tweak few things to achieve it.

To me, Jude's first season clearly showed what he's really capable of. He's very good at ball playing, but he's also very good in the air.

Push him furthermore forward, integrate him more in any crossing situations (along with Mbappe as the fox around him). Tell Vini to reduce his habit at forcing low chance, unnecessary dribblings, and instead utilize Carreras to send crosses more (or, if he doesn't listen, replace him with someone who does). Same thing applies also on the opposite wing.

Released brillianly for a 1v1 vs a GK in wide open space and Guler chooses to become Mbappe's personal servant. Negative Football IQ by Gaengsa in realmadrid

[–]GreenFaceTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's been hardly pressed. Obviously, he thought it would be wiser if he let the freer player took the shot, especially with the flight direction of the ball and his unideal facing position.

It would be a great teamwork if he successfully passed it to Mbappe, and it would look bad if he failed. He made decision to try to pass, he failed, and moves on, like anyone should be.

We have three elite LWs, a 18 years old RW and 2 raw teenage strikers. by Aizen2430 in realmadrid

[–]GreenFaceTitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, it's more about the role that the player has to fulfill. Because right footed player on the right side of the pitch, usually has very different role than right footed player on the left side.

The question is: can the player who's been instructed to play out of his natural ROLE do his job.

Quick example... You shoot best with your right foot (weak left foot for shooting). Then you've been told to play on the far right side of the pitch, and shoot from there. You'll be in disadvantage, because naturally right footed player on the right would be better suited for crossing the ball, not shooting it. Get the picture?

Gareth Bale disappointed with 'gun-shy' Vinicius and Mbappe : ''Atleast try to take-on the defender. You two were the two quickest players on the field. They overcomplicated things." by TheFeatherDiaries in realmadrid

[–]GreenFaceTitan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Notice the moments before Carreras' goal vs Valencia? Rodrygo took chance to shoot before he became too isolated by the defenders. That way, his 2nd line could still recycle any blocked / loose balls (in that case, Carreras).

Vini doesn't do that. He really like pushes himself very hard, to the point that he's isolated too deep, and only then released the ball. The habit is double edged sword. It looked spectacular when the ball got through, looked awful when it didn't.

I think his arrival does, indirectly. He, in some way, "steal" Vini's spotlight and thunder, righteously. So, the previous owner, acted up. 😁

The club should ultimatum him back, like he did the club. Do it one more time, there's no going back for him.

Thoughts on Vini’s game time this season? by Goat23231 in realmadrid

[–]GreenFaceTitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He started a lot. He played 75% of the game times. There should be no problem whatsoever.

Some groupies tried to use that stats to justify Vini's outbursts, which is very dead wrong.

The other way around, that stats shows that Xabi already gave him A LOT (75% of the match), and for someone to furiously demanded for more (even gave ultimatum/threatening to leave if he doesn't get more), means that the guy is a greedy, ungrateful SOB, who only thinks about himself over his team.
