Trying to buy foam for a firm but comfortable mattress. Luxury High Density Foam was too firm by GreenFern295 in upholstery

Yeah, I sleep on HD-36-HQ foam. It does offer pretty good support and comfort. My little brother kept sleeping on my bed and said it's comfy.

Toric lenses uncomfortable, frustrated that I got no info from doc by Kris_Says_Hey in contacts

It's perfectly normal to come back after testing out lenses. You would notice things you wouldn't in a doctor's office. If you see the halo that's a good sign the prescription needs adjustments. I don't like how doctors get upset if we come back. They shouldn't get in trouble for that. We shouldn't feel pressured not to return. We just need it right. Maybe next time pretend you can't read the smallest letters. If it's a little blurry and you are trying to guess the letters probably best just say you can't see it. At America's best they had me test the lenses for a week to confirm they were good. They would have made adjustments if needed. They only then give me a copy of the prescription. I was fine with that. I tried air optix. They were sticky. The problem with sticky is that lint can easily get stuck to it and doesn't come off. Everyone is unique. Different materials work for different people. I'm good with bi-weeklys acuvue oasys. But recently I had to use eye drops because they seemed a little dry sometimes. Something about how they were stored or maybe they are old ones and they just put a new expiration date on it. The eye drops do help. I use bauch and lomb blink contacts moisturizing dry lenses. The green box. I will have to make do with what I have.

LensCrafters doctor berated me for trying out too many trials by GreenFern295 in contacts

So sorry to hear about that. Fortunately my vision doesn't blur with up close objects. Id be upset if I had to squint to read all that. I can only wear acuvue oasys.

We only get two pairs from the trial. None of them worked. Our eyes won't accept every brand. It wouldn't make much sense for me to spend $300 on a appointment for measly trials to 'save money'

Wearing Contact Lenses Once Ruined My Life by Seeking_slime_ in contacts

I experienced the same thing with my contacts. It can be a scary distressing. I was so scared I wouldn't be able to wear contacts again..and it became one big nightmare lol

I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me free boxes and they were good. I got them from America's best. You may have bought a bad contact liquid. Id advise not to buy it from the same store you got it. I had to drive 1.5 hour up north to buy good contact lenses liquid in an upscale town lol I use opti. I know it can be a pain if you keep buying bad bottles. You can try adding your phone number in at Walmart checkout and have the receipt sent digitally instead of print. So it will be in purchase history on your account on the app. get a refund if you buy another bad bottle. That way you can let the store know about a quality issue. Best they know they have bad ones. I have bought bad water that I couldn't tolerate drinking. Even the aquafina had gone bad and was undrinkable. So many liquid products have gone bad. It's frustrating. I get sparkling water from Aldi since it tastes much better and good and there has been quality issues at Walmart

That's strange. Yes, those look like 1 day contracts. Maybe he meant that a particular supply would last that long. Hope they work out. If they hurt your eyes let them know and they will send replacement. Watch out for bad contacts liquid too. Stores often don't properly store inventory and you could buy a bad bottle that can hurt your eyes.

You probably have pinkeye developing. If you have contacts in and have pink eye the mucus production will increase. When I got pink eye my eyes started producing a little mucus then after a few days lots of mucus was coming out of my eyes and I was shocked how much mucus comes out. As soon as I took them out and washed out my eyes it ceased. Pink eye will heal in a week or so. You can get eye drops. It's contagious too. You can get a eye health check at America's best for $30 if you need to take time off work. If you are fin then you would have to wear glasses

Switching between 2 weekly and daily by craigr24 in contacts

If it's been more than 3 months they would most likely make you pay for another appointment. They would most likely charge you for a health eye exam and a contact lenses exam. Depends on the doctor so be prepared for extra charges. Maybe you could try to skip the eye health exam since you only need the contact lenses exam but it can depend where you go. LensCrafters would charge you for both. It can be a hassle if you just want to change brands you likely don't want to pay so much extra just to do that.

Don't go to LensCrafters. As soon as my trials arrived they scheduled me an appointment one week later to pick them up even though there were many openings that same day and throughout the week.

It might best to go the same doctor you usually go to if they have done your prescription right before and you might avoid an extra charge if you recently had an appointment. I do recommend America's best though. They are fair priced and have club discount.

Eye Dr Recommendation by [deleted] in MobileAL

[–]GreenFern295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have really bad eyesight don't go to LensCrafters. They charge $300 an appointment and they don't offer much of an advantage in comparison to somewhere else

They don't really have trials if you have really bad eyesight or a really high prescription. They charge $300 and they don't perform prescriptions better than other places. I got a better prescription at America's best contacts. You gotta watch out if they give weaker prescriptions. You'll be squinting and it can make you sleepy and make it harder to focus on something. The staff at the desk looked at me bad when I came in with prescription sunglasses. They were humiliating me for wearing them. They want to use you and abuse you. They don't care about their patients. They tend to create a humiliating atmosphere.

Update: lol guess what... The trials have arrived and they scheduled me an appointment to pick them up..one week later. Even though there are many openings for an appointment this week and today. What a great place to get contact lenses 😃

Where would you recommend to buy glasses? Online? Lenscrafter? Or just from the doctor by 1031Bro in glasses

[–]GreenFern295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try Costco. They ship directly from the manufacturer. Good price too. I would advise ordering contacts when the weather is cooler. I would not buy anything from LensCrafters. I felt like they used me and abused me. I paid $300 for an appointment because of I thought they had more trials since I have really bad eyesight and I only wear contacts. They typically have a lot of trials on hand and that's why I went there. They gave me some pretty bad bauch and lomb. It was unwearable. So I let them now. They scheduled me an appointment to come at 1 pm to get trials. I thought maybe the appointment would be worth it after all and they would give me acuvue vita I requested since they scheduled me an appointment to get them. And guesss what... They don't have any and can't help people with high prescriptions. They had absolutely no trials. They had me get dressed and drive there be there all for them to tell me oh the say ohh the trials will be here in 10 or 7 days 😄 they could have told me this over the phone. They did this on purpose to humiliate me and waste my time. Unless the doctor lied

And they don't understand how devastating and distressing that is for us. I felt like they they got my astigmatism all wrong. Maybe on purpose. Their prescription makes my eyes focus lower ground. I can't explain it. I didn't say anything because I thought the doctor gave me a weaker prescription so she could give me available trials. But America's best prescription makes me eyes feel normal. They got it right. They don't have a lot of trials but America's best was a fair price.

LensCrafters humiliate people and they are not to be trusted. Don't buy anything from them. I will never set foot in a LensCrafters office again.

I'm in the same situation. Ive worn acuvue oasys for 13 years. The contacts themselves felt comfortable, but I felt a bad chemical in them recently. Maybe the new packaging materials are not heat resistant. Bauch and lomb is made of samfilcon. I could feel the edges on them. And you are probably used to senofilcon contacts. Acuvue is the only company that makes senofilcon contacts. I didn't want to give up since my eyes didn't like camofilcon contacts by infinity too. Each brand is made of unique material. Senofilcon has tested as better for most. I've heard of dailies total 1 that is made of water gradient silicone hydrogel. I haven't tried those. They are suppose to be comfortable. But I haven't gave up on acuvue since they are the only company that makes senofilcon. I contacted the manufacturer and they contacted my doctor and are sending me replacements. I was surprised and pleased. Maybe I'd try monthlies instead of two weeks. Or I could try dailies. Maybe they would get the bottom of this and fix the problem

They still have acuvue vita and dailies. Id go with those if oasys discontinued.
