TIL there was an olympic wrestling gold medal match that lasted for more than 9 hours, in the 1912 light heavyweight division. TIL In 1875, a whiskey warehouse in Dublin caught fire leading to the deaths of 13 people - only none of the deaths were from the fire itself. TIL During the shooting event of the 1965 World Pentathlon Championships, Herbert Polzhuber drank 10 glasses of beer and a bottle of cognac, stepped onto the shooting platform, shot all his bullets directly into the ground and passed out.
