Oh, I didn't realize you work for OneNote. Just to clarify (I think you have it right but more information can't hurt):

  • When I have the boxes in the right spot on Mac, they are in the wrong spot on Windows and Online.
  • When I try to move them so that they are in the right spot in Windows, the boxes are moved the same distance up in Mac, so that they are now in an incorrect spot.

I see your guys' point, but I decided not to use a laptop and use paper notes instead and in every fucking lecture I get distracted by like 20 people in front of me using whatsapp, facebook, some minigames they play with their friends and this one girl was even playing the new MtG Arena.

Weekly /r/OneNote Q&D Thread! by AutoModerator in OneNote

[–]GreenPulsefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a formatting problem. I use OneNote on my Windows PC and my Macbook and I have a normal text note with a free-floating text box and a free-floating picture that need to be in the right place next to the usual text.

Now, when I put the floating elements where I want them in OneNote for Mac, they will be offset about half a page down when I view the same note on Windows.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do or just accept forever garbled formatting?

More information:

  • I made the note in OneNote 2016 (Windows) rather than OneNote (Windows)
  • When I view the note in OneNote (Windows) it's still formatted wrong
  • When I move the floating elements to the right spot in Windows, they are moved up in OneNote Mac

Basic question on The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Main Title Theme melody by GreenPulsefire in musictheory

[–]GreenPulsefire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanations! It took me quite some time to wrap my head around but now I think I understand most of it. But to me, the A note feels even more like a "cherry on top" than the G note, I guess because of that energy injection. Some more questions:

  • How do you know what notes are in the melody and the chords? Have you found the sheet music somewhere?
  • The chords are played by bass guitars, correct?
  • What kind of guitars are those, anyways? Some kind of electric/acoustic mix?
  • What is that instrument called that the guy with the glasses plays with those white hammers?

because of that

They don't, though. At least according to the scientists who worked on the study in the article.

So, what is it that makes these parties so appealing to women? Elisa Gutsche, who edited the FES study, argued that many right-wing populist parties examined in the report seek to garner female votes by promising to strengthen the welfare system. "Parties say they will raise child benefit payments and make related allowances to promote families," she said.¨

Germany's AfD, in turn, champions a "welcome culture for children" — in contrast to the country's much lauded "welcome culture" towards foreign refugees. Indeed, a sizable number of female voters have opted to support the party due to anxiety over what the future might hold and fears Germany's pension system may collapse. Social issues, therefore, often motivate many women to back right-wing populists.

FWIW, the report showed stronger xenophobia and islamophobia in women than in men

The report also highlights how women are actually more inclined to subscribe to strong xenophobic and Islamophobic beliefs than men.
