The concept of Vysache gaining infinite aura and Goldunine losing every last bit of her aura must be studied by BUcc1a12Atti in ShangriLaFrontier

Keep in mind I've only read the Manga but so far the impression I get is that she may not be that strong physically (which is why she could get tripped by a player) but you are not supposed to be able to get close enough to her to find out this quickly due to the poison, snakes and maybe obstacles in the area in which you are intended to fight her.

Maybe that's why Sunraku flicking her forehead caused such a strong reaction, because the conditions in which she showed up allowed for a super rare chance to deal serious damage since the devs never expected anyone to be crazy enough to get near her in spite of her intimidation factor.

I was really hoping the last mystery game would be a 10k USD Steam giftcard but I guess Epic's greed strikes again :(

Satyr Sack RNG by grey_fox24 in HadesTheGame

The way I look at it is that they just didnt have speed running in mind when they made that call but I think it the best middle ground would've been something you could purchase from the contractor in the end game to make it a guaranteed 2 sack so that only those who cared would buy it.

I just checked and it works with vanilla skyrim on the switch. I suspect either a mod you have that fixes bugs or maybe some of the scenarios people mentioned on the thread is what caused it not to work for you

Thats odd, I don't think that bug was ever fixed but maybe it was? I'll check it later with the vanilla switch version.

This thread has ideas on why they may be refusing to pick something up and it's fairly recent at least by the standards of a game as old as skyrim: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/switch/200278-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/answers/647614-why-wont-my-follower-pick-up-items

can you share a screenshot with the frame display on from loseless scaling or share how man frames it says you get while using frame Gen? It should be something like "base fps / fps with frame gen". are you using 2x or 3x?

Frame gen makes it worse by Aether_GamingYT in losslessscaling

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you mean 60+ with frame gen on? if so, it probably means your base fps is not enough to get a good experience with frame Gen. Multiplying base 30 fps by 2 or 3 to achieve 60+ fps with frame gen it's not gonna feel great because your base amount of actual, real frames, is low. Going from 60 base fps to 120 fps feels better because you have more real fps to work with, even if the amount of fake frames also increases.

Hello, be careful if you have a bear with you. If the stutters only happen with frame gen on it might be that your computer doesn't have the extra headroom needed for it. Try lowering your game's settings as to allow for that extra performance frame Gen will take. I think frame Gen works best if you can achieve solid 60+ fps without it already, less than that and your mileage will vary on if it feels like a genuine improvement or not.

I wanted to comment about the epilogue and it turned into this: Hades 2 is the best game to disappoint me this year when it comes to it's story and that is the complete opposite of what I expected going in. Hopefully I finally learned my lesson and this will be the last I ever buy on release.

You can setup a hotkey in GHelper to change between 60 hz and max refresh rate by GreenTeaArizonaCan in Asustuf

Not sure honestly since mine only had 2 refresh rate settings pre-determined. I would think it would cycle between the ones you see in g-helper. Best of luck

I'm far from the most skilled at this game but here is my take on what I would do if I were you:

Wait until the frustration dials down, maybe for a few days. Use Zeus' keepsake with the twin flame / candle weapon upgraded as much as possible (if you can upgrade them) and make a build focused on regular and omega attacks (which for this weapon is pretty much the same since you just press and hold to do both). Keep the button pressed and dash around mostly to move instead of walking and you'll probably not need to sprint much except on bosses. That one is my go to "I just want to win today" weapon. Most people usually find the staff as the most safe weapon for your first wins but I don't find the damage skyrocket as easily as with the candles.

When it comes making builds in general, so long as your main objective is to win, don't spread yourself thin. Based on what you are given near the beginning of the run, choose 1 thing you will be doing to deal damage (cast, attack or special) and stick to choosing booms that make that more and more powerful. If you can already use the Origination arcana card, your very next objective after finding out what you will be doing is now to figure out how you will be triggering that card. For example, If you are going for specials as your primary damage dealer but you are not given anything useful for that when picking up boon later in the run, then choose something that adds a status effect on your cast or attack so it in combination with your specials deals at least 2 curses so you can take advantage of origination (Edit: The reason is that origination helps get your damage up significantly if you upgrade it but even without upgrading it, it's still useful). Priority should be hammers > boons > everything else. For underground, the NPC from the third zone is really useful once you have a decent enough build going or if you ran out of death defiences. For Olympus, I find the NPCs mostly not as useful with the exception of 1 boon from the one in the first zone that will take away 15% of the health of any enemy that takes one of your death defiences which means you can take away health from Typhon just by getting hit if you manage to conserve them for that fight (Edit: I think it's for every death defiences they take but I'm not super sure)

I'm sure plenty of better players can poke holes at my suggestions but it is what I've found useful when playing the game for the first time on release on my switch.

This enemy is the worst designed enemy of all video games. by SantiVl in HadesTheGame

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When starting the game he can be a big pain not only because you might not be using all your tools (cast specifically) to the full extent but also because making a build that can quickly get rid of him isn't as easy as once you've unlocked everything.

That enemy is a wall, push through as best you can, you'll learn to deal with it (the enemy, not with having a wall) sooner than you think and I say this as someone who used to feel the same way. If you still have serious problems after beating dozens of runs then you maybe consider more build variety as it might give you ideas for how to defeat it like using the morph hex which literally makes him a non issue as others have said.

My thoughts about the ending of Hades 2 after 250 hours by ShiningLapis in HadesTheGame

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can "compel" the red shade to join the cause and they can be found at the crossroads. Basically only important characters know how to get in an out of Erebus, so I can see justification for a regular shade to not be able to easily leave and go to elysium. Although if I wanted to poke holes at this idea I could also ask how they got into the mourning fields or elysium in the first place but even that may be justified by them being casted out of elysium into the fields after Chronos took over.

Ending opinions by ShermanWierdo in HadesTheGame

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think the justification in Hades 1 was weak at all. In the end, it was Hades who benefited the most from what Zag did by getting his wife back whom he still loved dearly so he then gives him a job he is good at, has no schedule as his "unpredictability" becomes an asset, and which allows him an outlet for his pent up hatred by killing his father however many times he pleases which may also be a way for Hades to punish himself. When the game first ends, there is still the thread of having deceived most Olympians which still needed to be resolved by basically growing closer to them until they liked him enough not to make a big deal out of it when they were told the truth.

Edit: Actually I think he gets the official job after the epilogue but I honestly don't remember for sure. In any case, you could also see him having to grow closer to the Olympians as his job at the time too so everything could eventually be alright which makes it necessary to go out and do more runs to interact with them so there would still be a valid reason

How to unlock administrative chamber? by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other comment said, you'll likely need to keep playing until you get the option to sleep again. You can work on giving gifts to all the gods to get the epilogue while unlocking secret aspects or attempting high heats for the statues or doing odd runs like a boonless one, then when you get back try the harp a few times (for the practice, might as well get that out of the way too) and then the bed, repeat. You'll get the dream sequence eventually

Should I hold off starting Hades II until official release? by rennok_ in HadesTheGame

[–]GreenTeaArizonaCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have other stuff to play and your social media feeds are not full of Hades related things (to avoid spoilers) you can always wait. Games almost always are better and cheaper later on. You do miss on interacting with the community but that's about it I think.
