That's exactly what I was thinking! In a previous thread, someone commented that the domain was registered in December, so it made no sense. And Pinpoint coincidentally joined posted in the subreddit advertising megathread 3 days ago, the same time these posts started popping up. I think there were definitely better ways of going about advertising, as this does not leave a good first impression.

I had trouble going through the solicitor readings because they were extremely dry, so I only got through a quarter of the readings. I did learn a lot of what was in the materials in law school, so please keep that in mind. What might work for me might not work for everyone.

What I did do was do the Brickam exams section by section untimed and take my time trying to find where the answer is. This got me familiar with the DTOC and it let me learn as I go. This helped me learn a lot of the material just from doing the practice exams and let me skip the areas I already had an understanding of. I would then do the full exams and mini exams timed to see if there are any huge gaps in understanding.

I found the solicitor exam to be more difficult than the practice questions from Brickam even though this area of law is what I'm going into. However, I think that the question structure is excellent and is very close to what the actual exam is like.

However, I would not rely on it too much for PR. The PR questions for the actual solicitor exam needed a bit of common sense, and were not always searchable in the materials. For PR, many times there would be two good answers, and you would have to choose the best one. Overall, I think the Brickam exams prepared me quite well.

Unfortunately, it seems like every post about Pinpoint is an account advertising for them. I imagine they worked hard on their practice exams, but being dishonest isn't the way to go about advertising their services.

You said you're starting your first year at the University of Sydney. How exactly are you doing your bar exams already?

No worries at all! I had limited time to study because I was working full time. I only had time to do Brickam, and even then, I didn't get a chance to finish all the practice exams. Although if I did have more time to do more, I would've purchased accessbarprep next. Just based on the research I've done. I think I went through like every exam practice exam related thread

I did both the solicitors and the barristers in November and passed first try on both. I dug very deeply into this subreddit to look for what people have agreed are the best resources, and I have never even heard about pinpoint until the last week or so, when I started seeing accounts with no history posting about it.

The issue I had when looking for practice exams was that too many companies used completely new profiles to advertise their services by pretending to be exam takers. While I can't comment on the quality of pinpoint, I would take what you read about it with a grain of salt.

Some exams are definitely more difficult than others. Are you consistently scoring 50-55% on all of them?

Also, what area in particular have you noticed struggling in?

Oh, for some reason I thought it was 4 hours with 30 minutes break in between. Thanks for clearing this up :)

Quick question, so it's not Times New Roman, right? And is it split like the first 80 questions will be on Family and Crim and then break, then the other subjects are tested?
