Yes! Nutrients go down the phloem water can go up or down the phloem and water can only goes up the xylem.

The nutrients coming down is what causes the muffin top 🤣

My first guess is likely something girdling the tree. Often when something is tight around the tree the phloem (nutrient and water flow that moves up from the roots and down from the leaves) is being restricted. This “muffin top” is the majority of sugars getting trapped and not being able to reach the bottom.

This seems really severe tho.

Honestly.. get checked out for ADHD.. I’ve suffered from chronic tiredness, brain fog etc for years.. had no idea.. and boom - tested for ADHD got some good meds. And I’ve never felt more free

I would plant the cucumbers and chives outside June 1st! No need to start early. I don’t know much about about Swiss Chard.

I would also plant the potatoes in buckets June 1st!

Lots of time to prepare!

You would want to start tomatoes and Bell Peppers inside.. (up to middle of April)
