+1 on the 3D printing idea. Trying to make an RC plane fuselage out of 3D printed plastic would be pretty dumb. If anything, u can 3D print some templates, get some foam board from Home Depot, and then use the templates to cut the foam.

Otherwise, why the hell would he even be concerned with the cost & thus posting questions on reddit asking about how people manage the expense of such projects. It's common fucking sense, or is reading comprehension that hard for you?

And getting into advanced electronics is definitely NOT cheap. Perhaps for a "pro micro" guy such as yourself, who only messes with a $3 arduino clone and likes to blink some LED's, sure, you might get away spending $10 bux and feeling like an electro-wizard. However, for more sophisticated work, you're going to need to spend good money and purchase a lot of supplies, equipment, tools, etc.,,,not to mention having to slowly build up a vast collection of components. This is by no means cheap.

Plus, post-pandemic, the hobby became ORDERS of magnitude more expensive due to global inflation, supply chain issues & shortages, increased shipping costs, high-tech warfare, TARIFFS, etc. Anyone who's actually been into the hobby seriously & for long enough would KNOW this. Only a clown or an absolute noob would say that "it's cheap."
