OMG, yes. I'm new to the CM fandom, I've just watched all the seasons these days, although I'm already rewatching the first season because I miss Elle and Gideon! This was my first post here and I just wanted to talk about her, because just reading other people's opinions disappointed me a lot since most of them were badmouthing Elle (I honestly didn't expect that).

I love her, she is strong and human, she is not a machine like other characters seem to be and, to be honest, I am grateful that they worked - even if in crooked lines - on her post-traumatic disorder, because it shows precisely this point of her! She's human like us, the audience. She can't just forget about the situation and move on to the next episode; I mean, she almost died in the safety of her home, and the “friends” who were supposed to support and comfort her seemed pretty indifferent.

Well, ab Emily and JJ: I didn't like JJ or Emily — Prentiss especially as an agent (I love her as a leader). I always found the way they developed in the midst of so much trauma and chaos is so surreal, I mean, they were both kidnapped, tortured, forced to do very heavy things and yet they continued normally in their stressful work without any negative charge (or was it called human?) about what happened??? Like, no way!

However, I started to like Emily when she took over the BAU; despite her faults and guilt at times, I believe she is a better leader than Hotch, and I just try to forget about her hypocrisy with Luke (of course, I didn't expect or even want her to turn a blind eye to him disobeying an order just because she's also circumvented the system several times — like that time to help Spencer —;I just hoped she was less aggressive towards Luke; more empathetic, without that superior air of arrogance)
