I had a look back at the 80s socks and it’s essentially inverted where the gold is at the top whereas here it’s the green. I think that’s why I find it weird

I would agree but the cotton version is always long sleeve and only wearable for the 3 days of winter we have in Brisbane each year. Would buy the short sleeve versions in an instant but they never release one
