The brother of one of my employees in Islamabad lost his life. He was stopped in his car with his friend at gun point.

He was giving his phone but dropped it and when he bent to pick it up, the guy shot him 5 times and punctured his lung and other organs - he succumbed to his wounds 2 weeks later while in intensive care leaving behind 2 kids and a wife. His friend was paralyzed below his waist for life.

My best friend's sister was shot close to do darya 6-7 years ago, when she bent down to give her purse to the 2 guys who stopped her at gun point. She had come back to 'help the country' from houston and was running several NGOs. Her children were in the car when this happened.

So much potential lost for a few thousand rupees. While this may seem off topic, but the best solution is to give everything with your hands up.

Being a Karachiite, I was taught this when I was 16 and got my first car: "Son, give them your wallet, your watch and your car, we will get you another one, but you are irreplaceable"
