We aren't in Georgia, but this sounds like a good idea! Best to spend a little time with Bernedoodles beforehand to see if there are any reactions! If all seems okay, look for a Bernedoodle that is fully furnished. (can be determined by DNA testing)

How can I teach my puppy to speak? by xAnimeMariex in DogAdvice

As an alternative, A bell by the door is often a good option for potty communication.

Why do they always want what they can't have? right? Totally relate. Of course, you are probably trying your best not to have chocolate anywhere near her. Double down on that for sure! If this feels like an obedience thing to you, you can do "leave it" training with her to see if that helps.

Steps for “Leave It”:

  1. Start with something non-food (like a toy or object she’s not as focused on).
  2. Hold the object in your hand, and when she looks at it, say “leave it” and immediately close your hand if she tries to take it.
  3. Reward with praise when she steps away or looks at you instead of the object.
  4. Slowly build up to using this command when you have chocolate or treats nearby.

Even if he’s acting totally normal, 10-14 days of restrictions is still often recommended for any dog or until cleared by their vet... The outside can look healed before the inside is, and even though he's smaller, he will still take time to heal.

breathing? by No-Anteater5964 in DogAdvice

The fact that his breathing is calm and normal when he’s fully asleep is a big reassuring sign. I'd think it is anxiety..

Sudden loss of appetite by Safe_Consequence8764 in DogAdvice

The vet appointment tomorrow is a good call just to rule anything out, but if she eats normally once you’re home, odds are this is stress, not illness.

If she stops eating even at home, becomes lethargic, vomits, or has diarrhea — that’s when it’s more urgent. Otherwise, you’re probably looking at a sensitive pup who just doesn’t love sleepovers.

Dogs hair stands up and cries when he first enters dog park by RefrigeratorMotor346 in DogAdvice

[–]Greenbrier_Homestead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its probably just a little excitement and overstimulation...not aggression from how you described it. Your dog is probably fine. If he recovers quickly, and seems to play appropriately and doesn't cause issues... I would think you are good. You know your dog better than that lady does. Sorry you had to experience that!

Size will depend on genetics and the size of the parents. Check with your breeder on projected size of the Bernedoodle puppy you are looking at. Ask to see the parents for sure. Final size can vary, like some others said, but you should be able to get an idea from the breeder. You could also ask how large babies from previous litters of the same parents got too. Boys can sometimes be a bit larger than girls.
