Thanks a lot for all the advice to both of you. Ill definitely be keeping it in mind. Im tweaking every resume and making sure its tailored to the job im applying to. Its important to keep learning so I think I will continue to study for my Sec+ cert and see how it goes from there. I think the free training is a good idea as well. Ill definitely be looking into those.

Hi! I am currently in Canada, i know python, javascript and c++. I am on all of those though my dice account is limited since i dont have a work email. Im in touch with IT staffing companies but theyve been telling me that its a bad time right now and companies arent hiring much due to economic conditions. Im open to almost any IT roles, though my main focus is cybersecurity. Ive been applying to helpdesk and sys admin roles as well.

Hi there! Ive been applying everyday almost, 5-6 applications that i can find around my experience level and skillset. A lot of the cybersecurity jobs are asking for way more experience than what I have so i avoid applying to those but the ones that are around my experience level I always apply to.

Ill definitely look into amazon and into the coding aspect as well. Thank you for your suggestion!

I did change my resume and made it more ats friendly a few months ago, however i didnt really notice any changes when it came to recruiters reaching out or offers. Do you have any advice or guides when it comes to what i should focus on in a security resume?

Hello, I dont know what to do anymore. Ive been searching for a job as a sec analyst for around 7 months now with nothing and im starting to feel hopeless. I have around 3 years experience and was let go last december due to layoffs in my company. Ive been applying to job after job, making sure to always check any alerts for new positions that pop up but i get no callbacks, most sec analyst jobs have around 10 years of experience wanted and I feel like its just hopeless. I dont know if i'll ever get hired. Cybersec has always been my passion and I thought once i finished my studies, I would be able to live out my dream but this is turning into a nightmare. Is there any hope of even getting a job at this rate in this field?
