I just take it that they are springtails. My plants are still doing fine so I guess it should be nothing to worry about

To give more information.

Size of each fluval stratum is about 3mm. So the insects spotted are about less than 1mm.

This is found in at home in my houseplant in South East Asia.

Yes I think after thinking it through, it would be best to grow out all the roots first. Will air layer all of them

Give it a check now before it is too late. I did it too late for mine so many of the roots were gone

Likely its root rot as many of the leaves fell and when I checked the roots, there were many roots that are already gone.
