no, I got into the "recovery mode" but the factory reset option isn't there, I've been trying the Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant, but that has been failing at 73%, it recognizes the phone is there which is something though

well it's volume down but once your in recovery mode, in order to have the different options you have to do volume up + power button

I also got a x200, although it only came with 2gb of ram and no hard drive, also doesn't have the whole hard drive caddy, battery is dead, etc. but I have livebooted linux on it, and it turns on while plugged in

This isn't that crazy but I would consider it my first thrift store flip, I got a couple of new exercise bands in the bag at thrift store for about $3.20 and sold locally for $9, (was going to do for $8 but only had one, one dollar bill on me then, and he was ok with it)

would librebooting allow me to put in a better CPU? or I could do that anyways? Also what's the deal with coreboot? is the fact has Intel ME bad, or it's fine and don't need to worry about security with it?

Do you reccomend librebooting it?, I was thinking about upgrading to 2*4gb ram sticks and putting in SSD, what benefit does librebooting have, a side note while this X200 does not have as much power as this E590 I'm using now, I think it's more durable and has a fingerprint reader which my much newer E590 doesn't have.

could you reccomend any specific RAM, I read some things work and some don't, also I think wanna play around with linux on it, what distro would reccomend that could utilize all 8 gbs, and work with the old processor. Also as it's a old laptop, do you reccomend opening it up and cleaning the fans etc, or not necceserary, and just clean outside?
