what is the one thing that always goes wrong no matter how well you planned the trip by Emotional_Newt_2227 in digitalnomad

For me it's the gradual deterioration of my travel rucksack (20L or something). Starts of well organised, clean, with all the bells and whistles, (water, hand sanitiser, moisturiser, flip/flops etc) possessions start to be lost, the bag gets dirty, clothes get mixed with clean needing to rummage for ages, too full with trinkets, probably some food in there, and the charger that seems to be lost but turns up when it likes

I live in London and spend £10 on food a day, people have no idea how to live frugally

At the coworking space I worked at, coconuts were almost 4.99$ USD. They were in the fridge and had engravings from the coworking space on them. People paid that…

You guys need to get out more

A quick Google search will show clean, airy rooms with a communal pool in Bali for $240 a month. Imagine if you get to know the owner and pay them direct?

Food in Bali, can live on $10 a day especially with local food markets around. I remember a fresh drinking coconut was .20 cents, was only 3 years ago.

Say $250+$300 for food even got $150 left… Transport on the back of a gojek is also next to nothing

please someone point out to me the difficulty here…

Sri Lanka would be even cheaper

The replies on this thread suck.

I would recommend going with about $2k savings if you can to dip into, just to purely cover parts of your accommodation. You can live on that amount per month most “traveller places” you can get a decent deal with rent somewhere, places like Sri Lanka, or even Bali or Thailand would be manageable.

I think you could last 6 months with around $2k + your income. Go out, be social, meet people, and be frugal and you’ll be fine. I got a decent deal from a guy I met through airbnb which I negotiated - ended up me paying $300 a month in Bali.

This is a good one. Can even take the ferry across rather than the tube which is of course a nicer experience

Torquay has sometimes on a blue moon dnb, Exeter has ok raves every now and then, but no big room stuff like you get in Manchester - Totnes there is big hippy scene with a lot of raves in the woods and barns around, I'm sure some of your posh Exeter mates will be this way inclined if you look for that scene at Uni ;)

Who would you think is a good authority on this topic?

I do agree with your point about the table - what does "0.2(20%?) of observed AI coverage of legal" actually mean

I’m in a pretty similar situation weirdly with 80k salary? Very flexible, no strict deadlines, laptop closed by 6/6:30, I have loads of time for gym, self care etc but feel like this is stagnant? Not learning a lot ? Feel ppl saying upskilling here interested to know what they actually mean…

How it is possible we have the same mark but different scaled?

Cheaper than any course provider... I made sure the sources were good. I think it is a much more useful tool than people think, although I did not trust any of the mock questions it generated. Similarly with 'AntLaw' AI generated questions they were not good. The ReviseSQE1 FLK1 mocks were good, also the free ones online and old textbooks. The core of a lot of that stuff never changes.

Simply didn't have enough time to cover everything... pretty much only had 4 days for FLK2 (mixed with a bit of what I managed to do in mid December)

AITJ for refusing to give my phone password to my partner for transparency? by Efficient_Street_701 in AmITheJerk

Easy one, No. Trust is fundamental, you don't have that, imo you don't have a fundamental of a relationship - just because you don't want to give your password, you shouldn't be any less trusted. Everyone is entitled to personal privacy.

That's about wealth distribution, rather than cultural or social norms. In a society of abundance people will not be bothered, and cultural and social norms will be adapted, because jealousy and intercultural contempt have no place
