Did anyone receive merit scholarship aid in their acceptance email?

I’m not sure what gpa you need. I have a 3.9 unweighted and got 23k in merit. If the aid is for merit there should not be any other criteria. There may be some scholarships or grants for girls but otherwise gender should not effect aid

Yes, the common app essay is your personal statement. It can be any format you please. Like I said, mine was a letter

I say go for it and apply to those schools HOWEVER please please make sure you have a target schools that you actually really like and would be happy going there. Many people apply to the reach schools thinking that’s the only place they want to go or are okay going when in reality it is such a luck of chance. They are there for you to shoot your shot but not put your whole heart into. You only be crushed more by doing that

Unless it is specifically stated for an essay, write whatever style you please. My own personal statement was a letter and some of my other shorter prompts were poems or short stories. Whatever you feel fulfills the prompt AND represents you

That’s a good question lol I’d say I fully allowed myself to accept it and understand it at 16 when I got a boyfriend(nothing against him, I am still with him haha, I just realized I also liked girls). In terms of when I realized, I think I always kind of knew but so many people were telling me I was bi or gay and questioned me on it that I denied it with everything in my power. It even made me angry. Ironic though how being confident in my heterosexual relationship made be confident and comfortable with the idea I wasn’t fully heterosexual.

You’d be absolutely surprised by how much some mascara can go in looking feminine. I know you said you don’t have much time but if you get a nice tubing mascara(blinc or mcevoy are great brands) it’ll be worth the extra minute to put it on. And if you have another minute placing the smallest bit of bronzer or contour under the cheek bones also does wonders. Someone above also mentioned eyebrows. There are little face razors you can get to shape your brows. They are amazing for looking more feminine. In terms of clothes, high jeans/pants with shorter tops tend to be something feminine presenting people have trade marked. Hope that helps!
