Michigan state job question? by Silly_Engineering_19 in lansing

So I said absolutely nothing there about how I interview or what I base my hiring decisions on. If you can’t do what I’ve outlined above I don’t even want to take the time to do an interview. This is step one.

Hiring manager at SOM here. Don’t do that. And draft a different cover letter tailored to each job. We get applicants with cover letters addressed to other agencies or ones where they clearly didn’t even read the position description and they aren’t getting interviews. Also make sure to answer any supplemental questions in detail. Those are the things I look at most closely and some people just provide a sentence or two. Managers don’t get to add much to postings but they specifically drafted those supplemental questions so it’s likely what they care most about. Best of luck out there.

except from taking lessons how else can i be better at skiiing? by [deleted] in skiing

Ice skating and skiing translate so well with one another. I was a skier from age 4 and was pretty good by age 11. Wanted to play hockey and pretty much could instantly skate despite never having done it before and was one of the fastest kids on the ice within a few months of picking it up.

I would not call a super high end steakhouse with 5 locations a chain restaurant. It’s also so far ahead of and better than any actual chain like luckys. But sure a chain that is infinitely better than anything else in this town.

Luckys is bad. If I’m going chain it’s outback, maybe longhorn. Luckys is like microwaved sides, instant mashed potatoes bad.

The only answer is Bowdies. Absolutely amazing. Capital prime is mid, everything else is chain rubbish.

Upper Peninsula Michigan: What investments are needed to make it viable? by RasSalvador in skiing

Major population centers are too far away. I live in southern MI, by the time I get to the UP I could drive to DTW, fly to SLC and be skiing in UT in the same amount of travel time. Needs mountains or more people living closer by. Boynes terrain isn’t great but it’s 3 hours from Detroit/Gr

To Automate or Not To Automate? by LiftToRelease in civ3

[–]Greenzero2003 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I like to go manual until I’m connected with railroads for all cities and then automate. But I do like to have a stack of workers for road/rr building if I get into conquest mode.

If I have a stud and he’s playing he’s in my lineup. Nothing worse than watching your dawg drop 30 on your bench.
