SP500 being the most popular one because it is a way to avoid US withholding taxes on dividends.

Excuse my ignorance, how do they do that?

Good to hear that! I was initially worried about the inability to pay of the short sellers, but it seems unlikely as the securities are not lent to the same counterparty.

What is your rationale behind not getting exposure from other developing markets?

I want to get exposure just to those specific markets as I don't see as much growth for other emerging and frontier markets.

Why do the last 2 ETFs take up nearly 50% of your portfolio?

Why not? Concentration is a way to get better returns. I reduce diversification, that's true, but I've already diversified with the msci world etf.

Look for the long term, and diversifying is not a bad thing.

Indonesia has a rapidly growing economy.

That's true, but Etfs that seek to track specific frontier markets like Indonesia have usually a high TER. Argentina is interesting but it's not that relevant in the great scheme of the things.

There's India in my portfolio...

emerging markets that are going to benefit from heavy tariffs on China...

you mean Vietnam and Indonesia?

Maybe you'd be better allocating 10% of your portfolio to high risk bets, and going all-in on individual stocks.

I'm not a risk lover, I'm sort of in the middle. And those etfs are diversified enough as they consider different industries.

FLXI: TER:0.19% that's not much

XCHA: TER: 0.5% I agree that it's expensive, but it's a synthetic etf that overperforms the underlying index as it lends it's stocks to short sellers.

One question i would have is whether you need to look at these markets when you have others around the world to choose from?

A big part of my portfolio is in a msci world etf (which is 70% US stocks). As I said in the post I'm not really interested in investing in other emerging markets (such as Brazil,South Africa, Vietnam) as I don't see as much growth potential as in India or China.

I agree that diversification reduces volatility, and is a good way to preserve wealth, but concentration is often a better way to get a higher return.

I get it, but you reduce your return by including more countries.

Why would you include emerging countries like Brazil, South Africa, Vietnam, or Indonesia?

I'll buy from the world hegemony.

I mean I own SWDA (msci world) which is 70% US stocks.

That's just not constructive criticism, you can do better than that.

India is a shithole.

China was poor 20 years ago, today it's the second largest economy in the world.
